Alright folks, Rusty here. Let's get into it for Grandma's. We've got a nice stretch of small, clean, fun-sized waves on the cards, building into some more promising energy later on.

Right off the bat, we're in luck. We kick things off this Tuesday morning, September 15th, with some absolute perfection. We're looking at a tiny but tidy 2ft swell rolling in from the SW. The wind is dead calm and glassy, combine that with the moderate combined wave energy we're seeing (351), and you've got a recipe for a seriously fun session on the reef. The water's at a warm 81°, which is pretty much bang on for this time of year, so no surprises there.

That window of clean, offshore conditions stretches right through the week. Wednesday morning the wind swings a little, but stays clean, with a 2ft SW swell and a nice long 18-second period. This is proper groundswell, packing a bit more punch and giving you longer lulls between sets. Thursday is another standout with flat calm conditions and that 2ft SW swell holding steady. We get into Friday morning, September 18th, and the swell ticks up to 3ft from the SSW, still glassy, and the combined energy jumps to 400. This is the pick of the first week - small but high-quality.

The weekend is still very much in the game. Saturday morning offers another glassy 2ft SSW swell, and by the afternoon we get a light offshore wind, keeping it clean. Sunday and Monday are still surfable, but the energy dips and conditions become a little more ordinary with cross-off winds.

Into the second week, things get a bit more mixed. There’s a definite lull around Tuesday and Wednesday (22nd-23rd) where the swell drops to 2ft and the energy goes weak. Then, we get a nice late burst. Monday the 28th still has some onshore crud, but by that Monday afternoon, the wind goes glassy again and the swell period stretches to 18 seconds with a SSW direction. The standout in this second week is shaping up for Tuesday the 29th. A glassy-calm morning with a 2ft SW groundswell, period of 16 seconds, and a combined energy of 308. It's a bit far out, so treat it as promising, but the signs are good for another sneaky clean day.

The biggest swell we see is only 3ft, so nothing here is too big for beginners, and the long-period swells favour the reef setup at Grandma's perfectly, giving you well-shaped waves.
