Table - best surf conditions forecast for Faria over the next 16 days.

Alright folks, Rusty here. Let’s have a look at what’s on the menu for the next couple of weeks.
Honestly, I gotta be straight with you – it’s a pretty grim run for Faria. We’re looking at a long stretch of nothing special. The swell just isn’t cooperating, and the winds are mostly onshore or cross-onshore, keeping things messy. The first solid wave of note doesn’t even show up for over a week. We’ve got a big gap of poor surf conditions from the start right through to the morning of the 23rd of July.
The water temp is about average for this time of year, so no surprises there.
For the first real standout, you’ll want to pencil in the morning of Thursday, 23 July. That’s when we finally see a pulse of life. The swell picks up to 3 ft from the S with a period of 13 seconds. The combined energy climbs to 314, which is a decent bump. The wind is light and offshore from the SW, so it’ll be clean. This is a marginal call, but it’s the best we’ve got. The morning session at Faria (beach and reef) is the one to target. The swell direction is S, which is a good match for the optimum SW direction. It’s a fairly consistent spot, but be aware it can get *sometimes* crowded.
The afternoon of the 24th of July also shows a bit of promise with 3 ft from the S and combined energy hitting 381, but it’s a cross-onshore wind then, so it won't be as clean as the morning before.
The rest of the forecast is a washout. The swell stays small, under 3 ft, and the wind is either onshore or cross-onshore, keeping the surf poor. There’s no real size to get excited about – nothing over 5 ft for the entire period. With the short period windswell and poor quality, this setup looks more interesting for a kite surfer than a paddle surfer on most days.
If you’re desperate, that morning of the 23rd is your only real shot. Otherwise, I’d keep the board in the car and wait for a better forecast.
Rusty.
