G’day, it’s Rusty here. Let’s be straight with you—this is a rough stretch for the beach. We’ve got a long dry spell ahead, and I’m not going to sugarcoat it. The next week is looking pretty flat and messy, with only a few windows where you might snag a grovelly one. The water’s sitting at 62°, which is about normal for this time of year, so no surprises there.

Right now, Wednesday the 5th is a write-off. A touch of east swell but it’s tiny and the wind is junk. Thursday morning the 6th is the first real tease—clean and glassy with a light northerly, but the swell is barely a ripple at 1ft. It’s surfable, but you’ll be working hard for nothing. Friday morning is the same story, clean but weak.

The weekend is a bust. Saturday and Sunday bring onshore winds and chop, and the swell stays small and messy. The energy is weak, with values in the low 100s. Not worth getting wet for.

Now, Monday the 10th is where things start to move. We’ve got a pulse of NE swell coming in, and the morning offshore wind is looking good. The swell jumps to 5ft in the morning and 5ft by the afternoon, with a combined energy of 285 and then 466. That’s moderate to strong energy, and the wind is offshore, so it should be clean. Monday afternoon is actually the best bet in the near term. The swell direction is ENE, which isn’t perfect for this spot, but it’s got some push. Tuesday the 11th also has some decent swell, around 4ft, with clean offshore winds in the morning. It’s not epic, but it’s the pick of the first week.

After that, it drops right back off. Wednesday the 12th through Friday the 14th are weak and unremarkable, with tiny swell and onshore junk. Saturday the 15th sees a bit more south swell, but the wind is cross-shore and it’s just messy. Sunday and Monday the 17th have some size but the wind is onshore and it’s not going to be pretty.

The real standout is Wednesday the 19th. That’s the one to circle. We’ve got a proper SSE groundswell building to 4ft, with a long 12-second period and glassy conditions in the morning. The combined energy is 373, which is solid, and the wind is dead calm. This is the cleanest, most powerful swell of the whole stretch. The direction is SSE, which is on the money for this break. It’s going to have some shape and push. This is a promise, but it’s a week and a half out, so keep an eye on it.

Thursday the 20th has a bit of a cleanup, with some cross-off wind and a smaller SW swell, but it’s still surfable.

So here’s the bottom line: the next week is mostly a flat, windy mess. If you’re desperate, Monday the 10th is your best early call. But the real gem is Wednesday the 19th—that’s the one to plan around. It’s a long way off, but the signs are good. Keep your fingers crossed.
