Table - best surf conditions forecast for Spot x over the next 16 days.
Alright, listen up, I’m Rusty, and here’s the deal for Spot X.
This spot is a reef, and it’s going to be absolutely cranking over the next couple of weeks. We start with some meaty swell, and it builds to a total beast.
We first get going on Wednesday, July 8th. The morning brings a solid 12ft of groundswell out of the WSW with a 16-second period. That’s a long-period wave with a huge amount of energy behind it. The wind is a light cross-on so the waves will have a little texture, but it’s powerful. The water is 67°, which is about what you’d expect. The afternoon is the real treat: the wind goes glassy, you still have that 12ft swell, and everything gets clean and lined up. That afternoon session is the absolute standout for the first day.
Thursday the 9th and Friday the 10th are stormy with onshore wind. Saturday the 11th is nothing special.
Then we hit the jackpot. Sunday, July 12th is glassy in the morning with a clean 10ft groundswell from the SW and a 15-second period. This is a long-period, high-energy swell (4405), and the conditions are described as excellent for experienced surfers. Monday, July 13th is the other diamond: glassy conditions again, a massive 12ft SW groundswell with a 16-second period (5637), and the word is “exceptional.” Those two mornings are the business.
The middle of the next week is okay. Tuesday the 14th is clean with a 10ft swell. Wednesday the 15th gets blown out. Thursday and Friday are messy.
Now, for the heavy hitters only: Saturday, July 18th. A huge 15ft WSW swell with a 16-second period rolls in, bringing a massive 11059 combined energy. This is a monster. The reef is going to be a boiling cauldron. It is expert-only territory. The morning has onshore wind, but the power of that swell will be insane.
Sunday the 19th cleans up with 12ft waves and offshore wind. The rest of the week is smaller but clean.
The best of the entire period is hands-down the glassy, 12ft groundswell sessions on Sunday, July 12th and Monday, July 13th. That’s where you want to be. The Saturday, July 18th morning session is for the groms who are really charging.
Rusty.
