Table - best surf conditions forecast for Campbells over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, Rusty here. Let’s talk about what’s on the table for the next couple of weeks around Campbells.
First up, don’t get your hopes up for the early days. We’re looking at mostly poor surf conditions through the first part of the forecast period. The good news is that things start to turn around from Tuesday the 14th onwards, with a few windows of clean, manageable waves. The standout sessions – the ones you’ll want to circle on the calendar – look to be Thursday the 23rd and Sunday the 26th. Both days bring a solid, long-period groundswell, light offshore or cross-off winds, and the kind of energy that gets your heart rate up.
Campbells is a reef break, and it’s inconsistent – it doesn’t fire every day, but when it does, it’s worth the wait. The water temperature is sitting at 79.7°, which is pretty normal for this time of year. Crowds are often here, so expect company.
Let’s run through the timeline:
Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th are a write-off – strong cross-off breeze, clean but small swell, and the wave comment says “poor surf conditions.” Not worth paddling out.
Monday the 13th stays similar – same story.
Tuesday the 14th morning is still marginal, but the afternoon brings a shift: offshore wind, 2.3ft of W swell with a 16-second period, and moderate wave energy (489). The score bumps up to “expect good surf conditions.” It’s small, but it’s clean. Worth a look if you’re desperate.
Wednesday the 15th morning has rain showers and a cross wind, but the afternoon improves: cross-off breeze, 2.6ft W swell at 15 seconds,
Short Range ForecastMostly dry. Warm (max 27°C on Sat afternoon, min 24°C on Sat night).
