Table - best surf conditions forecast for Totoralillo over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, Rusty here. We’ve got a solid run of swell coming down the pike for Totoralillo, so let’s get into it.
The week kicks off this Saturday, July 11th, with some small, messy 3ft cross-on swell from the SSW. Not worth paddling out for – the wave energy is weak and the wind is junk. Sunday the 12th is a bit of a teaser; the morning is still marginal, but by afternoon the wind goes glassy. That 3ft SSW swell cleans right up and becomes rideable on a longboard, but it’s still small.
Now, here’s the standout – Monday, July 13th. The whole day is an absolute beauty. You’ve got a proper groundswell building from the WSW, holding around 4ft to 6ft with a very long period of 17 to 20 seconds. The wave energy jumps up strong, and with glassy conditions all day, this is prime Totoralillo. This point break really loves that long-period WSW energy, and it’s going to produce some long, clean walls. This is the session for intermediate surfers who know their way around a point. Crowds are likely here, but for waves this good, you won’t mind sharing.
Tuesday the 14th keeps the magic going. We’re looking at a bigger 7ft swell from the WSW, with glassy conditions again. The energy is very strong. This is getting into expert territory – the wave size and power will be too much for beginners. For the crew with the right gear, it’s going to be a memorable, punchy day at Totoralillo. Wednesday the 15th is still very good, with 5ft to 5ft from the SW and glassy winds, but the period drops a bit and the energy backs off.
There’s a bit of a lull after that. Thursday the 16th drops right down, then the wind turns nasty on Friday the 17th with a messy, onshore 7ft swell – that’s a write-off. Saturday the 18th sees a big 10ft NW swell, but with strong cross-winds and rain, it’s only for the hardcore. The wave energy is huge, but it’s sloppy. Sunday the 19th through Wednesday the 22nd are all marginal at best, with onshore winds and poor conditions. There’s about four days of quiet there.
Things start looking up again on Thursday, July 24th. We get a small 2ft glassy morning swell from the W that’s clean and fun. The following days, July 25th and 26th, show a building 5ft to 5ft W swell with clean offshore and glassy winds. It won’t be the size of that Monday blow-up, but it’ll be a nice way to finish the outlook.
Stay safe, respect the lineup.
