Table - best surf conditions forecast for Totoralillo over the next 16 days.
G’day, Rusty here, and I’ve got the lowdown on Totoralillo for the next couple of weeks. It’s a point break that’s super consistent and exposed to the west-southwest, so it’s always got something cookin’ when the swell’s from the right direction. Water temp’s about average for this time of year, so no weird surprises there.
The next few days are a bit of a letdown, to be honest. Wednesday the 8th and Thursday the 9th are looking pretty marginal with that cross-on wind messin’ things up. The swell’s there – around 4ft to 5ft from the SW – but the wind’s just not playin’ ball. The combined energy’s weak to moderate, but really, it’s not worth paddlin’ out for unless you’re desperate for a wet session.
Friday the 10th and Saturday the 11th are even worse. The swell drops off, and the wind gets stronger, so it’s a hard pass. The only real highlight in the first week is Monday the 13th. That’s a special one. The wind goes glassy in the morning, then stays glassy through the afternoon with a NW breeze. We’re talkin’ a clean 3ft swell from the SSW, period around 13 seconds. The combined energy is low, but the conditions are perfect for a longboard or a fun mid-length. It’s a proper soul-surf session.
Now, Tuesday the 14th is where it gets interesting. The morning’s a bit crossy, but the afternoon – oh, the afternoon. Glassy conditions, 6ft of swell from the WSW with a period of 14 seconds. That’s a long-period groundswell, and combined energy is solid. This is expert territory at 6ft, but for the experienced crew, it’s gonna be a dream. The point will be shapin’ up beautifully, with clean faces and long, rippable walls. This is the standout of the whole outlook.
The rest of the week is a bit messy. Wednesday the 15th and Thursday the 16th are onshore and choppy. But Friday the 17th brings a little reprieve with cross-offshore winds and a clean 2ft swell from the SSW. It’s small, but it’s clean.
Then, the real fireworks start on Saturday the 18th. We’re talkin’ a 8ft swell from the W, period 13 seconds, with cross-offshore winds. The combined energy is huge. This is for experts only. It’s gonna be big, powerful, and a bit of a challenge, but the waves will be long and lined up. That’s a serious session for the brave.
Sunday the 19th keeps the energy high with a 6ft swell from the W, but the wind goes cross-on in the afternoon, so get out early. The following week from Monday the 20th to Thursday the 23rd is a bit of a mixed bag. There’s some clean glassy sessions on the 20th afternoon and 21st morning, with offshore winds on the 21st, but the swell’s dropping. The 23rd morning looks good for a clean glassy 3ft swell.
So, if you’re lookin’ for the best, the call is Tuesday 14th afternoon for the full-on groundswell and glass, and Saturday 18th for the big stuff. Monday 13th is the sneaky clean small-wave day. The rest is for the die-hards or the kooks. Stay stoked.
