Updates in hr min s Forecast update imminent
Alright, Rusty here again. Let’s break it down for Stent Road.
We’ve got a bit of a slow start, but it’s not all bad. The first real chance to get wet is Tuesday afternoon, July 7th. There’s a decent 7ft SW groundswell with a 14-second period—good, powerful stuff. Water temp is 59°, which is dead average for this time of year. The cross-off breeze keeps things clean enough, but this is an advanced crew wave at that size. The energy is pumping (1900). Wednesday and Thursday look rough—the swell builds to 10ft to 15ft, but the winds are nasty, so forget about quality.
The standout day is Saturday morning, July 11th. We get a sweet 5ft WSW groundswell, 15-second period, and a light offshore breeze from the ESE at just 6 mph. The wave face will be glassy clean with moderate energy (1238). This is the one to get excited about. Saturday afternoon also looks good with 6ft and a clean cross-off.
Sunday morning (July 12th) is another good morning—6ft of clean, long-period swell and a light cross-off breeze. Size and quality are similar to Saturday afternoon.
After that, things get flat and messy. From Monday July 13th right through to Wednesday July 22nd, it’s mostly small and bumpy. The swell hangs around 2ft to 4ft for a while, but the wind goes onshore or stays cross-off. There’s a big pulse again around Friday July 17th (15ft+ from the W), but the wind is onshore most of the time—experts only, and only if you can handle the chop. The first half of that second week is basically a no-go for clean waves.
Bottom line: Saturday July 11th morning is the pick. Get on it.
Rusty.
