Alright crew, Rusty here. Let’s keep it real – the next 16 days are a total washout for El Playon. I’m seeing zero surf across the entire forecast. Not a single bump of swell. We’re looking at a dead-flat 16-day stretch. For a break that’s usually consistent, this is a quiet spell. But hey, it won’t stay this way forever; forecasts can always flip.
Water temp is about 82°, which is totally normal for the season, so at least you’ll be warm if you’re just floating around.
There’s zero combined wave energy (0) for the whole run. The ocean is basically asleep.
With no swell at all, there’s nothing to recommend. If you’re really keen to get wet, grab a paddleboard, but there’s no wave to surf. El Playon is a beach and breakwater setup, and it would need some serious juice to work, but we just don’t have it. This one’s a total skip.
