El Playon surf forecast from 10 Jul 2026:
Best Forecast Surf Conditions for El Playon this week:
The largest open ocean swell (not directed at the beach) is 1.6m 7s period and expected on Friday (Jul 10) at 8PM.
Alright, let’s get real about what we’ve got coming up. To be straight with you, the next few weeks are looking pretty grim. For the entire forecast window from now through to the 25th of July, there is no swell on the charts for El Playon. The wave energy is sitting at zero (0) for every single session. That’s a flat spell, plain and simple.
The first week, from Friday the 10th right through to Thursday the 16th, offers nothing. Not even a ripple. Winds will be mostly cross-onshore or onshore in the afternoons, and the mornings see very light breezes from the north-northeast, but with no waves to clean up, it doesn't matter. It’s a total blank.
The second week rolls on the same way. From Friday the 17th right through to the 25th, still nothing. The combined swell energy never climbs above zero. The water temperature is sitting at a warm 82°F – that's about average for this time of year – but there’s no surf to enjoy it in.
There are a couple of mornings that look glassy or near-glass, like the 25th of July Saturday morning with a light northerly, but without any swell, it’s a flat calm lake, not a surf break.
So, I wish I had something better to tell you, but there are no good surf options on the table. This isn’t unusual for the area – when it goes flat, it can really go flat. Keep your eyes peeled; forecasts can change, and a little pulse might pop up, but for now, it’s a solid no-go for paddle surfing. Pack the kite if you’re desperate for a fix.
Rusty.
