The Lowdown
Alright folks, Rusty here. Let's have a look at what's on the menu for the next couple of weeks.
Honestly, I gotta be straight with you – it's a flat spell. There is absolutely no swell on the cards for this entire 16-day window. The combined energy of all swells directed here is sitting at a big fat zero (0) every single day, so there's nothing to work with. We're looking at a solid two-week-plus gap with no surfable waves at all.
The only spot on the radar is El Playon. It's a sheltered beach and breakwater setup that's rated as consistent, but it needs a bit of something to get going. The water temp is sitting at 82° with a 0.4° anomaly, so it's about average for this time of year, nice and warm for a paddle if you just want a float. But for surfing? Forget it. The wind is mostly a light cross-onshore breeze, sometimes glassy, but without any swell it's just a flat lake.
This is one of those blank runs that happens in this area. There's no surf to get excited about, no standouts, no hidden gems. Just a whole lot of nothing. Keep your board waxed and your eyes on the forecast – it can't be flat forever.
Rusty.
