Updates in hr min s Forecast update imminent
Alright, let’s talk about what’s on offer here. Honestly, it’s a quiet stretch ahead. The first sign of anything worth paddling out for doesn’t show up until late, so you’re looking at a long empty spell from now through the first week and a half. The whole period is filled with tiny, weak waves and mostly poor conditions. There’s no real stand-out swell on the cards.
The only break in the mix is Domes (Rincon), a consistent point break that usually handles swell well. The water temp is sitting at 84°, which is about normal for this time of year.
Things start to get a whisper of life around Friday 10th July afternoon. You’ve got a small bump of swell coming from the NE at 4ft with a period of 7 seconds – short period wind swell, nothing special. The combined swell energy is moderate at 124. Wind will be light and clean from the east, so the surface might be tidy. But the waves are only described as surfable but very ordinary. It’s something, but not worth getting excited about.
Saturday 11th July afternoon looks similar – NE swell at 4ft, 7 second period, combined energy of 102. East-southeast breeze keeping it clean. Again, ordinary but rideable.
Beyond that, it trails off again into tiny, weak conditions. The swell drops back to under 3ft, with long periods of glassy or clean wind, but hardly any wave energy. A few mornings like Thursday 16th July and Friday 17th July show glassy conditions with 0.3ft to 2ft swell, but it’s barely a ripple. The 18th has clean offshore wind from the southeast in the afternoon with 2ft NE swell – still small and unremarkable.
If you’re desperate for a splash, the afternoons around the 10th and 11th are the only windows where you might find something rideable, but don’t expect any magic. It’s a long, flat stretch otherwise.
