Table - best surf conditions forecast for Non Nuoc over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, Rusty here. Let’s have a look at what’s on the table for the next 16 days at Non Nuoc.
To be straight with you, the first week is a bit of a slow burner. The real action doesn’t kick off until the weekend. We’ve got a few days of tiny, weak waves to start with, but don’t get discouraged, because things start to look interesting around Saturday the 11th.
The standout period is definitely the weekend of the 11th and 12th of July. Saturday morning sees a clean 3 ft swell from the ENE, with a light offshore wind from the WSW. That’s a proper clean window. The wave energy is building nicely (380), and the light breeze means it’s going to be glassy. By Saturday afternoon, the swell bumps up to 3 ft, still from the ENE, and the wind goes cross-off. It’s looking good. The water temperature is sitting right around 85°, which is about average for this time of year.
Sunday the 12th is the real highlight. The morning session is the pick of the bunch. We’ve got a solid 4 ft ENE swell, with a moderate offshore wind from the SW keeping it clean. The energy jumps up to a strong 715. That’s a lot of push for a sandbar break. The period is 16 seconds, so this is a proper groundswell. It’ll have nice shape and power, but the long period might make it a little straight at a beach break like Non Nuoc. Still, for the intermediate to advanced crew, this is the best window. The afternoon cleans up too, with a 3 ft swell and offshore winds, a solid backup.
After that, things drop off quickly. From Monday the 13th onwards, the swell crashes down to tiny, short-period junk. We’re looking at a long stretch of near-flat conditions with poor surf quality lasting well into the next week. The energy readings drop to single digits and low tens. The wind cycles through onshore and cross-off, but there’s just nothing to work with. There’s a little flicker of life on the 24th of July, with a 2 ft swell from the ENE and cleaner winds, but the energy is still low (104). It’s surfable, but nothing to write home about.
So, the call is: hit it hard on Sunday the 12th of July morning. That’s your best shot for a proper session. The Saturday is also very good, but Sunday has the edge in size and power. The rest of the window is a waiting game.
Rusty.
