Table - best surf conditions forecast for Nam O Point over the next 16 days.
Alright, grab a coffee, let’s have a chat about what’s ahead.
Honestly, the next couple of weeks around Nam O Point are looking pretty flat. It’s a bit of a quiet spell we’re in. For the next several days, there’s almost nothing to get excited about. We’ve got a gap of basically no real surf from now until late Thursday or Friday morning.
The first proper sign of life shows up on Friday morning, July 10th. The water’s sitting at about 86°, which is pretty normal for this time of year. We’ll see a tiny 1 ft of swell from the ENE, glassy conditions, you’d be out there for the peace and quiet more than the waves. The wave energy is still weak (114), so it’s just barely surfable.
Now, Saturday, July 11th, is the standout for this whole stretch. The morning kicks off with a clean 2 ft from the ENE, light offshore wind from the WSW, and the wave energy jumps up to a moderate 682. That’s where we start to see some proper push. By the afternoon, it builds to 4 ft from the same direction, still with clean offshore wind. The energy hits 887 – that’s solid, punchy surf for Nam O Point. This is your window.
Sunday morning, July 12th, holds in with a clean 4 ft and offshore wind, still great, energy at 625. It’s a close second best to Saturday. The afternoon gets a bit tricky as the wind swings cross-on from the ESE and the swell drops back to 2 ft.
After Sunday, it fades out again. The rest of the week and into the following week is mostly tiny, poor surf – 0.3 ft to 1 ft at best, with long gaps of nothing. There’s a brief moment on Friday, July 17th, where it goes glassy with a 1 ft NE swell, but that’s barely a ripple.
Honestly, if you’re a beginner, the 4 ft on Saturday is perfectly fine. That’s a great day for getting out there. But for the rest of the run, you’ll be staring at a flat, clean ocean.
Stick to Saturday and Sunday morning if you want the best of it. It’s a short, sweet burst of fun before the lull sets back in.
