The Lowdown
Rusty here again, giving you the same story in feet and Fahrenheit.
Look, I’m not gonna sugarcoat it. This 16-day window is a total bust. We’re looking at a stretch of flat nothing, starting Wednesday the 5th of August and running dry right through to Thursday the 20th of August. Over two weeks with no surf whatsoever.
Every single check shows zero combined energy, and the report on every session just reads “poor surf conditions.” The closest we get to anything promising is Tuesday the 11th of August, with a glassy morning and clear skies, light airs out of the NNW. It’d be a picture-perfect scene, but there’s not a ripple of swell to ride.
El Bolsillo is a point that usually gets a bit of action, so this is a quiet spell for the spot. Water temp is about normal for the season at 84°, but that doesn’t help when the ocean is a bathtub.
No standouts. No hidden gems. No late-period hope. It’s just a flat, disappointing run. Don’t break your heart over it – forecasts can switch up, and when they do, you’ll hear about it.
Rusty.
