Vouliagmeni surf forecast from 11 Jul 2026:
Best Forecast Surf Conditions for Vouliagmeni this week:
The largest open ocean swell (not directed at the beach) is 0.4m 4s period and expected on Monday (Jul 13) at 3PM.
Alright, I’ve had a good look at the charts for our little stretch of coast, and I gotta be straight with you—it’s gonna be a quiet one for a while.
Right now, and for the next nine days or so, we’re staring down a long, flat spell with nothing to get excited about. Saturday the 11th through to Sunday the 19th of July, the swell is just not there—zero readings on the energy scale (0), and the conditions are clean, glassy even at times, but there’s simply no wave to ride. The wind’s looking offshore or light for most of that stretch, which would be a dream if there was any swell, but there isn’t. It’s the kind of dead period that makes you check your board for cobwebs.
By Monday the 20th of July, a tiny bit of life shows up. We’ve got a little pulse of 1 ft short-period swell from the south, with a period of only 5 seconds. That’s weak stuff, combined energy at just 8 – definitely feels more like a lake ripple than a surfable wave. The wind’s glassy in the morning, so it’ll be clean, but honestly, even for a beginner spot like Vouliagmeni, that’s barely a knee-high dribble.
After that, it goes quiet again for another block of days. Nothing notable through the rest of the forecast window until we close out on the 26th. The standout here? There really isn’t one. The whole 16-day period is a bust for surf. When the combined swell energy is flatlined at 0 for the vast majority of the time, you’re better off swimming or just enjoying the sun.
If you’re desperate, Monday the 20th has the only hint of movement, but it’s not going to make you drop your other plans. Vouliagmeni is an inconsistent spot to begin with, and this run of flatness is pretty normal for the area when the wind patterns are all offshore and no southerly groundswell is rolling in. We’ll just have to wait for the next system to change things up.
Rusty.
