The Lowdown
Alright folks, Rusty here. Let’s be straight with you – this outlook is a tough one. We’ve got a 16-day window on the cards, and right now, the ocean is flat out not playing ball. There’s zero swell energy on the table for the entire stretch. The combined energy of all swells directed here is a big fat zero (0) for every single session. That means no waves, plain and simple. We’re looking at a complete blank run from the start right through to the end of the forecast on the 16th of September.
For Vouliagmeni, which is a beginner-friendly spot that’s exposed to southerly swells, there’s just nothing to get excited about. It’s an inconsistent break at the best of times, and over the next two weeks, it’s going to be a total write-off for surfing. The wind looks clean and offshore from the north on many mornings, and we even get a few glassy periods, especially on the 6th, 9th, 11th, and 12th of September. That’s a cruel tease – perfect conditions, no swell whatsoever.
If you’re a paddle surfer, there’s nothing to recommend here. The water temp is about average for this time of year, but that’s cold comfort when there’s nothing to ride. Honestly, with the clean, offshore winds and zero surf, this setup looks way more interesting for kite surfing than paddle surfing. The forecasts can change, but for now, the only thing breaking is the silence. Stay patient, lads.
Rusty.
