The Lowdown
Alright, Rusty here, and I’ve got to level with you – the Vouliagmeni stretch is looking completely flat. The whole 16-day run is a washout. From August 2nd all the way to August 17th, there’s zero wave energy coming through. Nothing.
We’ve got clear skies and mostly offshore breezes out of the north, which would be perfect if there was any swell. Water temp is about 80°, which is a touch warmer than usual for this time of year, but that doesn’t help when you’re staring at a glassy lake.
For a break that’s already inconsistent, a blank stretch like this isn’t unheard of, but it’s a bummer. The wind is clean, the conditions are flat calm, but without any waves, it’s just a swimming pool. Forecasts can always change, but right now, there’s nothing on the horizon until at least the middle of the month.
