Alright folks, Rusty here. Let’s see what we’ve got for the next couple of weeks.
Right off the bat, it’s a dead scene for Vouliagmeni. Over the full 16-day window, there is not a single lick of surf. The combined wave energy sits at zero (0) from July 6th all the way to July 21st. Every single report says “poor surf conditions” with no swell height or period. The sea is flat calm.
Starting Monday the 6th and Tuesday the 7th, the wind is light offshore or glassy – perfect conditions if there were waves, but there aren’t any. Skies are clear, but you’re just staring at a mirror. Through the middle of the week, Wednesday the 8th, we see a little onshore breeze, but it doesn’t matter because there’s no swell. The second week, right through to Monday the 21st, it’s the same story: some clean mornings and then onshore afternoons that do absolutely nothing.
With the swell energy a big fat zero (0), there’s nothing to ride. This kind of blank run can happen in these parts during a settled summer, but it usually doesn’t last forever, so forecasts might change. For now though, leave the boards at home.
Water temperature this morning at Vouliagmeni was a balmy 79°, about 3° warmer than average for the time of year – definitely a touch warmer than normal, good for a swim, bad for surfing.
Nothing to call a standout here. If by some miracle a ripple shows, Vouliagmeni is a beginner spot but it’s inconsistent and often packed when it’s working. That’s all I’ve got.
