Alright, Rusty here again. Let’s run through it in feet and Fahrenheit. The whole sixteen-day window is a total flat spell. No surf at all. From Thursday, 30 July through Friday, 14 August, the combined swell energy stays at zero (0) – just a dead, flat ocean.
The only break in the system is Vouliagmeni. It’s a beginner spot, inconsistent, and exposed to the south, but the swell is a no-show. Water temp is about 80°, which is a touch warmer than usual for the season. The wind is often offshore or clean, and there are some glassy afternoons, like on Thursday, 6 August and Monday, 10 August, but with no waves it’s just a flat, glassy pond.
With zero wave energy, there’s nothing for anyone – not even kite surfers. The wind is light to moderate, nowhere near enough to ride. This is just a dead period for the area. It happens. Don’t lose hope, forecasts can shift, but for now, it’s a total rest day.
