Alright folks, Rusty here. Let's be straight with you, it's a tough stretch ahead for our little corner of the coast. We're looking at a proper dry spell, so don't be itching to wax up just yet.
Right now and for the foreseeable future, the ocean is flat. There is no swell on the horizon, and the combined energy is sitting at a big fat zero (0). What you're seeing is a long patch of nothing — calm mornings and glassy afternoons, sure, but absolutely no wave energy to ride. The first week is a total washout for surf.
Over at Vouliagmeni, it's an inconsistent beginner spot at the best of times, and right now it's just not breaking. We'll have clear skies and some light offshore breezes through the first week, but with no swell, that's just a nice day to go swimming. The water temp's sitting at 75°, which is about average for this time of year — nothing to write home about.
Looking into the second week, from July 10th onward, it's more of the same. We see glassy conditions on the mornings of the 13th, 14th, and 15th, but still a flat ocean. Even with those perfect light offshores, you can't surf flat water. The afternoons bring some onshore breezes, but again, there's nothing to push against.
The entire 16-day outlook is a gap with no surf recommendations. There is simply no energy coming in from the south, which is the optimum swell direction for this exposed break. Until we see some lines on the horizon, leave the board in the car and maybe find something else to do.
