Alright folks, Rusty here. Looks like we’re staring down a pretty flat run for Vouliagmeni. I gotta be straight with you – the 16-day window is a total blank. There’s just no surf energy on offer, with a combined swell energy reading of (0), which is about as lifeless as it gets. The pattern is clear: no swell at all for the entire period, so don't even think about paddling out this week or next.
We’ve got a long stretch of nothing. From August 16th all the way through to August 31st, the forecast shows zero wave height. There are no standouts, no sneaky sets, just a whole lot of flat water. The only thing moving is the wind. The water temperature hangs around 78°F, which is a bit warmer than normal for this time of year – about average overall, but the sea feels like a bath.
For a beginner spot that’s already inconsistent, this dry spell is pretty normal for the area when there’s no southern swell. If you’re desperate for a paddle, you might find a tiny ripple on Tuesday morning August 18th with a 0.7ft south swell and a 4-second period (weak, choppy junk), but that’s not worth getting wet for. The offshore and glassy mornings (like the 18th, 19th, 22nd, and the 31st) would be clean if there was any wave to ride, but there isn’t.
