Table - best surf conditions forecast for Trigg Beach over the next 16 days.
Alright, Rusty here, lookin’ at the long-range forecast for us.
We got a solid run of swell, but some wild weather ahead too. Water temp’s about normal for the season.
The main event is Monday, July 13, morning. Trigg Beach gets a solid 8ft SW groundswell with a pumping 17-second period. The energy is cranked (2971), and a light east-southeast offshore breeze keeps it glassy. It’s a proper groundswell with power, so it's for experienced folks only. The point should have good lines.
Kick-off is Sunday, July 12 morning, with a clean 7ft SW swell. Light cross-offshore breeze makes it decent. Sunday afternoon gets lumpy. Monday the 13th is our big highlight; afternoon gets a messy crosswind. Tuesday the 14th stays clean all day with a 7ft WSW swell and a good offshore breeze.
Then we hit a rough patch. Wednesday the 15th is average. Thursday the 16th gets ugly with onshores, and by Friday the 17th it’s lumpy. Saturday the 18th brings a huge spike – a 15ft WSW swell with an 18-second period and a 22 mph cross-onshore. That’s a washing machine, better for kite gear than a paddle board.
After that mess, Sunday, July 19 morning is a beauty. Swell drops to a still-big 10ft from the WSW with a 14-second period, but the wind goes dead glassy. Light east-northeast breeze at 3 mph. That will be an incredible session, but again, only for experts.
Monday the 20th and Tuesday the 21st drop to 5-6ft but stay clean with a moderate offshore. Wednesday the 22nd morning shows a bit more size (8ft) but the wind starts to build.
From Thursday the 23rd through to Saturday the 26th morning, it’s another stormy period with strong onshores (up to 25 mph) and a lot of rain. Total loss for quality surfing. Sunday the 26th looks better with a 8ft SW swell and light cross-shore winds, but it’s not clean. Monday the 27th ends the run with a clean 6ft SW swell and light offshores.
Lock in Monday the 13th and Sunday the 19th. Get them in the books.
Rusty.
