Alright, let me tell you how things are shaping up at Telescopes. This spot is a consistent, exposed reef break. It's an advanced wave, so if you're not comfortable on a fast, powerful reef, maybe give this one a miss. The water temperature is sitting at about 86°, which is pretty normal for this time of year.

The first good news comes Thursday afternoon. We've got a solid south-southwest swell pushing in, around 5ft, with a period of 14 seconds. The wind is cross-off from the southeast at 9 mph, which will keep things clean. The combined swell energy is a healthy 1037, but with a risk of thunderstorms hanging around, you'll want to keep an eye on the sky.

Friday morning, July 10th, is where it starts to get interesting. The swell picks up just a touch to 5ft from the SSW, but the period jumps to a very long 16 seconds. That's proper groundswell energy (1152 combined energy), and it's going to mean well-shaped, powerful lines raking down the reef. The wind is still a cross-off from the SSE at 9 mph. This is excellent surf for experienced surfers. If you've got the skill, get amongst it. The afternoon holds similar size but the wind picks up a little, making it a bit more challenging.

Saturday the 11th is a step back in energy, with the swell dropping to 5ft and the period backing off to 14 seconds. The morning stays clean with a cross-off breeze, but by the afternoon the wind swings south, turning it cross-shore. It'll still be surfable, but not as good.

The standout window for the next week is Sunday, July 12th. The swell has dropped to 3ft with a 12-second period, but the wind goes glassy. Light, variable airs from the south in the morning and east-southeast in the afternoon. It's going to be silky smooth, with combined energy around 325. This is not a big day, but if you want clean, glassy, user-friendly waves on the reef, this is the pick.

We get a burst of energy back on Monday, July 14th. The Tuesday session (July 14th) is a real highlight. Morning offers a 4ft SSW swell, 18-second period, and combined energy of 1147. It's glassy, clean, and powerful. The afternoon steps it up another notch with 4ft and a 17-second period, giving us a massive 1249 combined energy. The wind stays light and cross-off. Excellent conditions.

Looking further into the second week, the pattern holds nicely. On Monday, July 20th, we see a solid pulse of swell: 5ft in the morning, 6ft in the afternoon, both from the SSW with 15-16 second periods. The combined energy spikes to 1281 and 1289, which is strong. The wind is glassy, too. This is a promising, long-range standout, but keep in mind it's over a week out, so the specifics might shift.

From Wednesday, July 22nd, the swell starts to ease back into the 4ft to 3ft range through to the end of the period. The winds stay generally favourable, with a lot of glassy conditions, especially on the mornings of the 22nd and 23rd. Towards the very end, on July 24th, a bit of wind and a risk of storms creep back in, but it's still surfable.

Overall, for the next two weeks, Telescopes is looking pretty reliable. The absolute best bets are the glassy Sunday the 12th for clean small-wave surfing, and the powerful, long-period swells of Tuesday the 14th and Monday the 20th for the experienced crew.
