The Lowdown

Alright, I’ll level with you—this is a tough outlook. Over the next 16 days, Roc San Cayetano is barely showing anything. It’s a point break that rarely breaks, and this forecast is mostly flat or junky. If you’re hoping for waves here, you might be better off finding another spot because the next two weeks look like a bust for surf.

Let’s break it down. From Tuesday 11th August through Friday 21st August, every session is listed as poor surf conditions. Swell heights stay tiny, mostly around 0.6ft to 1ft, and the period is short—just 4 seconds on most days. That’s basically wind slop, not real swell. The combined wave energy barely gets into double digits, usually sitting around 2 to 13 (weak energy). A few mornings are glassy, like Thursday 13th, Saturday 15th, and Sunday 16th, but with almost no swell, glassy just means flat and pretty. Not rideable.

There’s a little bump around Friday 21st August. The morning shows 2ft swell from the S with a 4-second period, combined energy only 13 (weak). Winds are light and cross-off from the NNW, so it’d be clean, but it’s still poor surf conditions. Same for Friday afternoon—2ft, S, 4 seconds, clean with a slight breeze. Still not enough power.

Saturday 22nd August morning drops back to 0.6ft from the ESE, then the afternoon sees 3ft from the ESE with a 5-second period and combined energy of 32 (weak). But the wind is onshore from the S at 10 km/h, so expect messy, choppy conditions. Not worth the paddle.

Sunday 23rd and Monday 24th follow the same story. Monday morning has the biggest swell of the whole period—3ft from the SE, 5-second period, combined energy 33 (weak). Winds are light cross-off from the NNW, so it’d be clean, but the period is too short to make proper waves. Still poor surf conditions.

After that, the last few days fade into tiny or flat surf.

Bottom line: there’s no standout session here. The combined energy never gets above 45 (weak energy) and that’s on Monday afternoon the 24th, but the wind is cross-onshore and messy. This is a long stretch of flat or poor conditions. It’s a rare-breaking point that just isn’t showing any love in this forecast window.
