Alright, folks, I’m gonna level with you. The finder’s got nothing for the whole 16 days — zilch, zero recommendations. That’s a tough one for Port Aransas. Let’s just look at what the charts are telling us.

We’re looking at a long, flat stretch. The first record is Thursday, July 9th, with a tiny 0.5m, 6-second wind swell from the SE at 20 km/h, and the water’s a touch warmer than normal at 29°. The combined energy is a weak 18 — that’s barely a ripple. It’s just poor surf conditions, and it’s gonna stay that way for a while.

From Thursday afternoon through to Sunday, July 12th, we’ve got swell bumping up a bit, but it’s all short-period junk (5-7 seconds) from the SE, with onshore winds. The energy climbs from 18 up to 99 by Sunday afternoon, but it’s still weak. Mixed in with risk of thunderstorms and moderate breezes, it’s just not surfable. Monday the 13th through the 14th sees a little more energy — 124 on Monday morning (1.3m, SE, 6 seconds) — but the wind’s cross-onshore, choppy, and the score’s still zero. This is kite-surfing wind, not paddle-surfing waves.

After that, it’s a grind. From the 15th to the 24th of July, it’s almost all the same story: small, weak, short-period SE swell, with cross-onshore or onshore winds, and the energy’s mostly in the double digits. A couple of sessions on the 20th and 21st show 1.3m with 114 and 142 combined energy, but the cross-onshore wind is ruining it, and the period is still just 6 seconds. The best windows are all “poor surf conditions.”

This is one of those blank runs that’s more normal for the area. No standout sessions, no hidden gems. It’s a flat spell. Forecasts can change, but right now, it’s a waiting game.
