Table - best surf conditions forecast for Le Porge over the next 16 days.
Alright, let’s get into it. Lookin’ at the forecast for Le Porge, and honestly, it’s a bit of a slow burn for the next week or so. There’s not much to get excited about, but we do have a bit of a sneaky window way out at the end of the run.
The water right now is a whopping 75° – that’s way warmer than you’d expect for this time of year, so you’ll be comfy in a shorty or even trunks if you’re tough enough.
The first real standout doesn’t even show up until Monday, the 20th of July. That morning, we’ll see a clean 4ft swell out of the WNW with a gentle cross-offshore breeze from the NE. The combined energy is moderate at 192, and it’s clean. It’s not a monster, but after all the tiny, choppy stuff we’ve been looking at, that’s a proper surfable morning for a beginner-friendly spot. The crowds are sometimes an issue here, so expect a few others with the same idea.
Then, we skip ahead to the real highlight. Sunday, the 26th of July, is the one to circle. Early morning, the wind goes glassy light from the east, turning offshore. The swell is a solid 4ft from the WNW with a period of 10 seconds, and the energy is strong at 281. That’s a clean, punchy wave for a beach break – perfect for a grovelly log or a fish. It’s a long way out, so keep an eye on it, but that’s the best on offer.
The 25th of July gets a fair bit of size – 7ft on Saturday morning – but the wind is onshore and messy, so it’s a blown-out mess. That’s one for the experts only, and even then, it’s not going to be pretty. For the average punter, that’s a day to stay home.
So, bottom line: a whole lot of nothing for the first week, then a clean Monday morning on the 20th, and a promising glassy Sunday on the 26th. That’s your window.
