Table - best surf conditions forecast for Le Porge over the next 16 days.
Alright, Rusty here, checking the Atlantic for the next couple of weeks.
Alright, I'm looking at the charts and honestly, it's a tough stretch for Le Porge. We are going to see a long, dry spell with really nothing to get excited about. The swell energy is minimal, with the combined energy hanging around a weak 96 or less for the first ten days, and the wind just isn't playing ball. It's not looking like a time to be rushing out the door.
Friday the 10th is a no-go; we've got onshore wind and poor conditions right from the start with a weak 2ft swell. Saturday the 11th has a brief moment early with glassy conditions and a 2ft swell, it's surfable but very ordinary. The window closes fast as a strong NNW cross-shore picks up in the afternoon. Sunday the 12th has a clean offshore window in the morning on that same tiny 2ft swell, but the energy is barely there. Then it goes glassy in the afternoon but the swell drops to just 1ft. That's the best we see all week, and it's not saying much. There's a massive gap with hardly any quality waves through to the following week.
The water temperature is a bit of a shocker—it's 74°F and that's over 5°F warmer than normal, which is very unusual for the time of year.
Things get a little interesting towards the end of the outlook, but it's a long way off. On Wednesday the 22nd, there's a clean offshore wind from the east with a 1ft, 10-second swell. It's tiny and marginal but the conditions are there. Then, on Thursday the 24th and into Friday the 25th, the combined energy finally shows some life, climbing to 165 and then 184. There's a 3ft to 3ft swell on the Friday, but it's coming with a cross-onshore wind, so expect it to be bumpy. This is a week and a half away, so keep an eye on it, but for now, it's looking like a long, quiet period ahead.
Rusty, signing off.
