Alright, this is Rusty. Let’s have a look at what the next couple of weeks has in store for us around Le Porge.

Honestly, the opening stretch is a bit of a flat spell, almost a write-off. The early parts of July 8th through to the 10th are just not happening – tiny, weak swell with messy onshore wind. You'd be fighting it more than surfing it, so save your energy. There's a gap of no worthwhile surf right through until we get to the morning of July 11th. That's when things start to look a little more interesting, but still small and ordinary.

The real standout, the one I’d circle on the calendar, is Saturday morning, July 12th. It's early, but the wind goes offshore from the ESE, leaving the waves clean at Le Porge. We're looking at a swell around 2 ft from the WNW, which isn't big, but with that offshore wind, the surface will be glassy. The combined wave energy is low at 51, so it won't be powerful, but for a small-wave cruiser session, this is the pick of the period. Keep in mind, this break is exposed to the west, so the WNW direction is on the money. For a beginner-friendly spot like this, it's perfect for a longboard.

July 13th and 14th see the wind swing back onshore, and the quality drops out again. Nothing to get excited about.

Now, later on, there’s a pulse of more significant swell. Friday, July 17th, has the biggest numbers we'll see in the whole outlook. The combined wave energy hits 535, which is strong, and the swell is 7 ft from the west, with an 8-second period. That’s beefy for this spot and will push well over head-high. Problem is, it's coming with onshore wind from the west at 19 mph. The surf will be big, but it's going to be a bumpy, choppy mess. For the experienced crew with a jet ski or if you're a strong paddler who doesn't mind a beating, it might be one of those “I was there” days, but for most of us, the lack of wind protection and the straight-on wind makes it a pass. That particular size is only for experts.

After that, the 18th of July morning offers a reprieve. The wind goes offshore from the east, and the swell drops back to a manageable 3 ft from the west, combined energy at 100. It's clean again, with very light wind, but the period is short at 7 seconds, so the waves will be a bit weak and crumbly.

Beyond that, the second week looks pretty grim. The wind is mostly onshore and often strong, with some storms and rain showers showing up. The swell sticks around, with a 6 ft westerly on July 19th, but again, onshore wind. By July 21st, we get strong breeze conditions with 25 mph wind and a 6 ft swell. That’s pure white-knuckle, blown-out washing machine territory. Honestly, for those windier days with significant swell but poor quality, this exposed beach setup starts looking more interesting for kite surfing than paddle surfing.

So, to wrap it up: for a little clean wave, your best bet is the morning of Saturday, July 12th. For the biggest, rawest swell of the period, look at July 17th, but only if you're an expert who can handle heavy, blown-out conditions. Keep your eyes on the charts for the rest; it’s not often this quiet.

Rusty.
