Table - best surf conditions forecast for Forte dei Marmi (Pontille) over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, Rusty here. Let's have a look at what's on offer for the next couple of weeks.
Honestly, the outlook for the next fortnight is a tough one. We’re looking at a long, dry spell with barely a ripple. From today, right through until the 23rd of July, it’s a flat spell. The waves are tiny, the energy is minimal, and the conditions are just poor. There's nothing to get excited about for a good two weeks.
We finally get a pulse of life on the morning of Friday, 24th July at Forte dei Marmi (Pontille). The swell is coming from the SW at 5ft, which is a decent size, but the period is a short 9 seconds, so it’ll be a bit lumpy. The real kicker here is the combined wave energy, which jumps to a moderate 391 (moderate wave energy). The morning is looking glassy with a light NE breeze, which is a major positive. That’s the one standout window, but it's a long way off. The afternoon on the 24th sees the wind swing onshore, messing it up, so it’s a short window. The water is notably warm, running about 5°F warmer than usual for this time of year, which is very unusual.
The following morning, Saturday, 25th July, still has some lingering SW swell at 3ft with glassy conditions, but the energy drops off quickly to 82 (weak energy). It’s surfable but nothing special. After that, it’s back to flat and messy for the rest of the forecast. Don’t hold your breath for the second week; it’s pretty much a write-off.
