The first time you’ll want to grab your board is on the morning of Friday, August 21st, at Forte dei Marmi (Pontille). It’s a beach and jetty spot, open to a SW swell. If you’re looking for the best of a bad bunch, it’s that Friday morning (August 21st) at Pontille. The offshore wind is the key—it’ll keep the waves clean. The 2ft swell is the biggest we see, and the direction suits the break. Just be aware, this spot is often crowded, and with almost nothing else on the menu, expect a few others in the lineup.
