Table - best surf conditions forecast for Cabo Blanco over the next 16 days.

Alright, let’s talk about this. Cabo Blanco is the spot for the next couple of weeks. We’ve got a real nice run of waves coming in, nothing too huge, but a whole lot of clean, fun surf.

First thing, the water is 87°F, which is way warmer than usual for this time of year. It’s really nice.

The standout is Thursday, July 9th. We’re looking at 4ft of SSW swell with a 15-second period – that’s a proper groundswell. The energy is moderate at 655, and the wind is glassy out of the NW at 3 mph. It’s going to be perfectly clean. The long period will give you some nice, lined-up waves, especially on a point or reef, but it’ll be fun anywhere. Just be ready for longer waits between sets.

Friday morning, July 10th, is another good one. The swell drops a little to 3ft, still from the SSW and still a long 15 seconds. The energy is 511, but again, glassy wind from the SE at 3 mph. Clean conditions.

Saturday morning, July 11th, is probably the best of the early run. The swell bumps up to 4ft, still from the SSW, with a 16-second period. The energy is up to 816, so there’s some real power in the water. And with the wind glassy out of the NW at 3 mph, it’s just perfect. This is the one to aim for.

Sunday morning, July 12th, keeps it going. 4ft SSW swell, 14-second period, glassy wind from the NW at 3 mph. Energy is 580. More of the same good stuff.

Monday morning, July 13th, is a little smaller at 3ft, but the wind is dead calm. That’s a glassy, smooth surface. The energy is 566, and the swell is still a clean 13-second SSW. It’s a perfect small-wave day.

Tuesday morning, July 14th, is another morning with a 4ft SSW swell, 14-second period, and glassy east wind at 3 mph. Energy is 468. Clean and fun.

Wednesday morning, July 15th, is a carbon copy. 4ft, 14-second SSW swell, completely calm wind. You’ll be surfing on glass.

After Wednesday, the pattern gets a little more mixed. The mornings are still good, but the afternoons get choppy. Friday, July 17th, morning is a standout with a 4ft SSW swell, 14-second period, and glassy NW wind. The energy is 567. Get it in the morning before the wind shifts.

Saturday, July 18th, morning is the same deal. 4ft, 13-second SSW swell, glassy NW wind. Energy is 511. A morning mission.

There’s a bit of a lull for a few days mid-week, with smaller surf, but it picks up again on Wednesday, July 22nd, with a 3ft SSW swell, 12-second period, and zero wind. The energy jumps to 580. That’s a good sign.

The real wildcard is Friday, July 24th. The swell jumps up to 6ft from the SSW, with a 12-second period, and the energy is a hefty 1026. That’s a lot of water moving. The wind is cross-shore at 6 mph, so it won’t be perfect, but for a bigger wave, it’s a good option. Just be aware, at 6ft, it’s getting into the territory where it’s less for beginners.

Overall, the first 10 days are a dream. The swell is consistent, the wind is glassy every morning, and the water is warm. The later part of the outlook has a few bigger, more energetic options, especially on the 24th, but the wind is a bit more of a factor. If you’re looking for the best, lock in Saturday, July 11th, and Friday, July 17th mornings.

Rusty.
