The Lowdown
Right, Tel Baruch South Beach. Gotta be straight with you – it’s a tough outlook. Looking at the whole 16-day run, the models are showing a really quiet, blown-out picture with basically no proper surf on offer. The swell is small, the period is short, and the wind is mostly onshore or cross-onshore, which just kills any chance of a decent wave.
The first week is a write-off. From Friday the 7th right through to Sunday the 16th, it’s nothing but poor surf conditions. The swell sits between 1ft and 3ft, with a short 6-second period, and the wind is a mess – mostly onshore from the W, WNW, or cross-onshore from NNW. The wave energy is weak, barely reaching 50 at best. You’d be wasting your time.
Things do pick up a little in the second week, but it’s still not good. On Sunday the 16th afternoon, the swell bumps up to 4ft from the W, with a 6-second period. The combined energy jumps to 109 – that’s moderate – but it’s onshore wind from 12 mph W, which will trash any shape. It’s more of a wind-swell bump than anything surfable.
Monday the 17th and Tuesday the 18th see the same story: 4ft to 4ft swell from the WNW, 7-second period, energy levels up around 108 to 143. That’s a fair bit of energy for this spot, but the wind is still onshore from the W in the afternoons, and the mornings are cross or cross-on from the SW. The wave comment stays “poor surf conditions” right through. The break is a beach, exposed to the W, and with onshore wind and that short period, it’s gonna be a messy, choppy closeout. Honestly, this setup looks more interesting for a kite surfer than a paddle surfer.
The one small highlight is Thursday morning the 13th. It’s glassy, with a tiny 2ft swell from the NNW and a 4-second period. The wave energy is just 13. That’s super weak, but with glassy conditions, a beginner might find a few knee-high foam balls. But for anyone wanting a real wave? There’s nothing here.
Overall, this is a blank run for the entire 16-day window. There are no good surf options. The spot is fairly consistent in the sense that it *can* pick up swell, but the wind and lack of quality just kill it for this period. Don’t hold your breath – forecasts can change, but right now, it’s a stay-at-home kind of outlook.
