Updates in  hr  min  s Forecast update imminent

G’day, Rusty here. Let’s be straight – it’s a lean run ahead for Tel Baruch South Beach. Through the whole sixteen-day window, every single session gets a big fat zero for quality. The swell is small and weak, the wind is mostly onshore or cross-onshore, and the wave energy barely lifts a pulse. There’s nothing worth paddling out for.

Right from Monday morning 6 July, we’ve got a 3 ft swell from the WNW shuffling in at a short 7 seconds – that’s weak, weak, weak (combined energy just 66). Wind is cross-on from the SW at 9 mph, making it gentle cross-onshore and fairly choppy. Monday afternoon stays onshore from the west at 12 mph. Tuesday 7 July is more of the same – 3 ft, 8-second swell, cross-on SW wind in the morning (122 combined energy – still moderate but poor surf). Wednesday 8 July keeps the 3–3 ft range, period still short at 8 seconds, cross-on SW wind 12 mph, combined energy around 110–120. Choppy and lifeless.

Thursday 9 July drops to 3 ft, 7-second period, cross-shore SSW wind 9 mph, energy down to 74. Friday 10 July goes even smaller – 2–2 ft, 7-second period, cross-shore SSW morning but then onshore WNW afternoon (12 mph). Energy falls to 35–40. Saturday 11 July morning goes glassy with 3 mph W wind and 1 ft swell – but that’s a 6-second period and combined energy of just 13 – a tiny, weak ripple. Not surf, just a ripple. Sunday 12 July morning also glassy with 2 ft and 5-second period (16 energy). Still not surf.

The whole first week is a write-off. Second week doesn’t get any better: Monday 13 July to Monday 20 July – swell stays below 3 ft, periods 4 to 8 seconds, winds mostly onshore or cross-onshore from the W or NW at 9–12 mph, combined energy mostly two-digit. The only small highlight might be Saturday 18 July morning – glassy with NW wind 3 mph, 3 ft from the NW at 6 seconds, but energy only 60 and the swell is short and weak. Still, glassy is glassy – if you need a paddle and the surf is that tiny, it’s clean at least.

The only session in the entire run that nudges past flat is Tuesday 21 July morning – 3 ft from the WNW at 8 seconds, light cross-shore SW wind 6 mph, combined energy 127. Still poor surf conditions per the call, but at least the wind is light and the energy is moderate. Still – not a wave to get excited about.

There’s no standout. Nothing. This is a stretch of small, weak, often choppy conditions. For a beach break like this, it’s essentially a no-go for surfing. If you’re into kite surfing, the onshore and cross-onshore winds on most afternoons might give you a session, but for a surfboard – leave it.

Hang in there. Forecasts can always change, but right now it’s a long blank run.

Rusty.
