Tel Baruch South Beach Surf Forecast and Surf Report

Alright folks, it’s Rusty here, and I’ve got the look ahead for Tel Baruch South Beach. Gotta be straight with you – it’s a tough stretch on the cards, so let’s get into it.

Right off the bat, the pattern is pretty grim. We’re looking at a long, flat spell with next to no solid swell energy. The surf is small and messy, and the wind is a persistent problem. For the whole first week, from Wednesday the 8th to Tuesday the 15th, the waves are barely a whisper. Sizes hover around a pathetic 2 ft to 4 ft at best, but the wind is almost always cross-on or onshore, keeping things choppy and ugly. The combined swell energy is weak, barely getting into triple digits (a high of 131 on the Wednesday afternoon), so there’s just no push. This is a blank run, and for this area, that’s pretty normal when the forecast is this consistent.

There’s a little bump in the road around Wednesday the 22nd of July. We see a pulse of energy coming in at 4 ft to 4 ft from the WNW, with a period of 8 seconds and combined energy jumping to 223 (moderate energy). It’s an improvement, but I’d still call it poor. The wind is a problem again – cross-on on the morning and onshore in the afternoon. The scale is small enough that a beginner might feel okay, but the wind-ruffled surface won't do anyone any favours.

After that, it fades again quickly, back to tiny 3 ft to 3 ft slop with the same crummy wind story through to Thursday the 23rd.

Honestly, for the entire 16-day window, there is nothing I’d call a standout. The small swell on the 22nd is the only real pulse, but it’s ruined by the onshore wind. This setup looks more interesting for a kite session than a proper paddle surf. The only saving grace is the water temp, which is sitting at a warm 82° and a touch warmer than normal for the time of year.

There are no good surf options here right now. It’s a flat, windy grind. We wait for the pattern to change. Rusty out.
