The Lowdown
Alright, this is Rusty. Let's get real about the stretch ahead.
Look, I'm gonna be straight with you – the next two weeks and change are a bit of a bust for a proper paddle. We've got a 16-day window here, and the honest truth is there isn't a single recommendation that scores well enough to get excited about. The whole period is a write-off for decent surf. The waves are just too small, the energy is weak, and the conditions are just... flat. It's a long, quiet run with nothing to offer.
The only show in town is Tel Baruch South Beach. It's a beginner-friendly spot, and it's fairly consistent, but the swell is tiny. We're looking at waves of 1ft to 3ft for the entire period. The energy is pathetic, with the combined energy of all swells directed here barely cracking 63 (63) on the 7th of September, and often sitting in the low teens. That's weak, weak stuff.
The water is a touch warmer than normal for this time of year, sitting at 86°F on the 7th, which is about 4°F above average. That's notable, but it won't help the waves.
For the first week, the wind does offer some glassy mornings – like on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of September. The waves are only 2ft to 2ft, and the period is short (6-8 seconds), so the shape will be poor. It's a flat spell. The middle of the week from the 11th to the 15th is even worse, with waves barely reaching 2ft. A few mornings like the 18th of September look glassy, but again, it's 2ft of weak, short-period slop. The swell direction is WNW to NW, which is fine for the spot, but it just doesn't have any push.
The second week is more of the same. The 20th of September morning has a glassy 3ft wave, but the period is a pathetic 5 seconds. That's not surf, that's a lake ripple. The energy is still weak (35). It's a washout.
Forget the paddle board. With this little swell and the onshore winds that kick in most afternoons, this setup looks more interesting for a kite surfer than anyone looking for a wave to ride. The conditions are just not there.
There's simply nothing to chase here. The forecasts can change, but right now, it's a hard pass.
