Señoritas Surf Forecast and Surf Report

Alright, Rusty here. Let’s have a look at what’s coming down the line for Señoritas.

We’re looking at a solid run of surf starting right now, and honestly, it’s a pretty sweet stretch ahead. The water’s sitting at 68°, which is much warmer than normal for this time of year – a good 7° above the usual, so you’ll be comfortable in a spring suit or maybe even a shorty if you’re brave.

It all kicks off on Tuesday morning. We’ve got clean waves around 4 ft rolling in from the SW with a period of 15 seconds. That’s a proper groundswell, and combined energy is sitting at 783 (moderate). The wind is a light cross-off, so the face will be clean. This is a reef break, and with that long period, it’ll be lining up nicely. Tuesday afternoon sees the wind go to a light offshore from the S, and the swell holds at 4 ft. That’s your best bet for the whole first day – glassy, consistent, and punchy.

Wednesday and Thursday keep the goods coming, with swell easing slightly to 3 ft and 3 ft, but the wind mostly stays offshore or light cross-off. The water is clean, the sets are reliable, and the energy remains moderate. Friday is much the same, with 3 ft SW swell and clean offshore wind. It’s not big, but the quality is there.

Saturday and Sunday (19th and 20th) get a bit smaller, dropping to 2 ft–2 ft, but here’s the interesting part: the period jumps up to 17–19 seconds. That’s very long-period groundswell. For a reef like this, that means super-smooth lines, but the sets will be few and far between. The energy is still moderate (354–418), so you’ll need to be patient and pick the right one.

Monday (21st) is similar, small but clean. Then we hit a bit of a lull: Tuesday through Thursday (22nd to 24th) the swell drops to 1 ft–2 ft, with energy falling to the 130–180 range (weak). The conditions are still clean, but it’s very ordinary – pretty flat. Not worth rushing out for.

But stick with me, because things fire back up on Friday the 25th. The swell builds to 3 ft from the WSW, and by the afternoon it’s 4 ft with the same direction. The energy jumps to 513 (moderate), and the wind goes offshore. That afternoon session looks excellent.

Saturday the 26th is your first standout of the second week. We’ve got 4 ft WSW swell, period 12–13 seconds, and the energy is strong at 669–747. Winds are light and cross-off, so it will be clean and lined up. This is the pick of the run if you want solid, consistent waves.

Sunday and Monday (27th–28th) stay good, with 3 ft SSW swell, light winds, and strong energy. Then Tuesday the 29th gets a bit more serious: the swell pushes up to 7 ft from the S, with a short 8–9 second period. That’s going to be pumping, but the period is short, so expect a bit more chop and close-outs. The energy is very strong (935–1001). This is for experienced surfers only – 7 ft on a reef with short period can be a handful. The wind stays offshore, so it’ll be clean, but the power is real.

Wednesday the 30th wraps it up with 8 ft S swell and a 10-second period. Combined energy hits 2459 (very strong). Again, that’s expert territory. The morning is cross-off with WSW wind, but the afternoon turns offshore from the SSW, and the forecast says excellent conditions for experienced surfers. If you’re good, that afternoon session on the 30th is your true standout – big, clean, and powerful.

Overall, there’s no real gap – the surf is on from now until the end of the window. The first week is smaller and cleaner, ideal for intermediates. The second week, especially from the 25th onward, builds into strong, sizeable waves that will suit experienced surfers looking for a challenge. The water is unusually warm, the wind is mostly favorable, and Señoritas is consistent. Crowds are likely here, but with this much quality on offer, you’ll find a peak to yourself if you’re patient.
