Table - best surf conditions forecast for Noises over the next 16 days.
Right, let's have a proper look at what's comin' our way at Noises. It's a reef break, advanced vibes only, and it's set to be a proper mixed bag over the next couple of weeks.
We kick things off on July 8th with some serious size – 12ft of WSW swell – but the wind is pinin' straight onshore and the water's messy. That's a write-off for a surfer. The combined energy is pumping at 5723 (moderate wave energy), but with the wind howlin' from the west at 16 mph, it's just a washing machine. No good.
Things don't get much better on the 9th. The swell drops a touch, but the wind stays on it. We're in a bit of a blank spell here. Thursday the 10th offers a glimmer with a smaller 5ft swell and some cross-off wind, but the scores are weak. It's not a morning to get too excited about.
Now, Saturday the 11th is where it starts to look interesting. The wind swings to a light cross-off from the SE at 6 mph, cleaning up the 7ft SW swell. Combined energy sits at 1860 (moderate wave energy). For experienced surfers, this is the first real looker. But hold onto your board, because the real standout is Monday the 13th. Early morning, you've got an 12ft swell from the SW churning in with a 16-second period – that's proper groundswell – and the wind is dead glassy. The energy reading is a hefty 6702 (strong wave energy). It's gonna be big, powerful, and lined up perfectly on that reef. This is expert territory only, but for the crew who can handle it, that's the session of the forecast. The water temp is around 66°, which is about average for this time of year, so not too chilly.
The run from the 13th onward has some solid follow-up days. Tuesday the 14th looks exceptional again with a clean morning and a 10ft swell, and Wednesday the 15th offers glassy conditions on a solid 8-8ft swell. Thursday the 16th morning holds with good clean surf. That first week is stacked.
Then the second week gets wild. Wind is gonna blow hard – 19 to 31 mph – from the 17th through the 20th, completely ruining the surf. The swell gets massive, over 16ft, and the combined energy rockets to five-digit numbers like 19595 (very strong wave energy). That's not for paddling; that's for kite surfers or for watching from the cliff. It's just too big and too messy for this break.
After that blowout, things settle down. The 21st and 22nd are still a bit wind-affected, but by Wednesday the 22nd afternoon, the swell is dropping and the wind turns clean cross-off again. The real second-week standout is Thursday the 23rd. Early morning, you've got a 13ft SW swell with 15-second period, an offshore breeze from the east at 6 mph, and the combined energy is 9364 (strong wave energy). Another day for the experienced crew. It's a long way out, so keep an eye on it, but the models are hinting at something special.
To sum it up: the first real chance is Saturday the 11th, but the absolute best on offer is Monday the 13th morning for the experts. The second week is blown out until a promising, but uncertain, Thursday the 23rd morning.
