Alright, grab your wetties, let's talk about what's on the table at Noises.
This is a reef break for experienced surfers, and it's consistent, exposed, and handles a WSW swell best. The water temp is sitting right around 67°, which is pretty close to average for this time of year, so no surprises there.
We've got a decent run of surf kicking off but it’s not all smooth sailing. Friday morning (July 3rd) looks really promising. There's a solid 10ft swell out of the SW with a long 14-second period and a light NE breeze keeping it clean. The combined energy is pumping hard at 3708. That's proper groundswell and the conditions should be excellent for experienced surfers.
Things get tricky on Saturday (July 4th). The swell holds at 10ft, but the wind picks up to 15-18 mph from the NNE. It's still cross-off but that’s a lot of breeze, making it marginal. Sunday (July 5th) is a write-off with strong winds and rain. Definitely not worth paddling out.
We get a big spike from Monday (July 6th) through Tuesday (July 7th). Monday afternoon is the standout with a 15ft SW swell, 16-second period, and ESE cross-off winds. The energy reading is 8941 – that's a lot of power. This is expert territory only, and it looks exceptional. Tuesday morning is also world-class with a 13ft swell and 7317 in energy, all clean under a SE breeze.
Wednesday (July 8th) starts glassy in the morning with a 10ft WSW swell. That's a chance for a truly clean session, but it goes cross-on by the afternoon. The rest of the first week and into the second week is a mix of onshore and cross-shore winds, dropping the quality.
Looking further out, Saturday the 11th shows another big pulse. The afternoon session has a 15ft SW swell with a 17-second period and the energy is massive at 11584. The wind is cross-off from the SSE, so it’s clean. That's another day for experts only.
By Monday (July 13th) the swell drops back into the 6ft to 8ft range with clean conditions and offshore breezes. That’s a good window, but the size is more manageable. The real standout of the whole period is Monday the 6th and Saturday the 11th – those afternoons are the ones to circle. They’re big, clean, and pumped full of energy, but you better know what you're doing out there.
From Wednesday the 15th onwards, the quality falls apart. A strong NNW windswell shows up on Thursday the 16th with a short 8-second period and howling 28 mph winds. That’s not surfable. The last few days into the 18th are all onshore and messy. There’s a big gap of poor conditions from the 15th right through to the end of the forecast period.
So, get it while you can early on. The best bets are the first Monday and the second Saturday. Don't sleep on them.
