Alright folks, Rusty here. Let's have a look at what Bogliasco has in store for us over the next couple of weeks.
Honestly, it's a tough stretch. We're looking at a long, dry run with barely a ripple for most of the period. The first real chance of anything surfable doesn't show up until Friday the 24th of July, and even then, it's not exactly firing. There's a massive gap of nearly two weeks with nothing worth paddling out for, so don't bother checking the cams until then.
The only time the ocean shows a pulse is on the morning of Friday the 24th. We've got a 4.6ft swell rolling in from the southwest, with a period of 8 seconds. The combined energy is moderate (256), so there's a bit of push behind it. The wind is light and cross-offshore from the NNE, which will keep the surface clean. This is a sandbar spot, so it's fairly consistent, but it's a beginner-friendly break, so this 4.6ft swell is at the upper limit for learners. The water temperature is a very unusual 80.6°, which is much warmer than normal for this time of year.
But honestly, the quality is really ordinary. The forecast calls it "surfable waves but very ordinary conditions," and that's about the size of it. It's a one-morning window, and then it's gone. The wind swings onshore in the afternoon, ruining it. If you're desperate for a paddle, that Friday morning is your only shot, but don't expect anything special.
