Table - best surf conditions forecast for Outside Corner over the next 16 days.
Alright, crew, Rusty here. Let’s have a look at what’s cookin’ for Outside Corner. We’ve got a solid run of surf ahead, but it’s gonna take a minute to get going proper. The swell kicks in Friday morning, July 10th, with a chunky 6.2 ft SSW groundswell carrying serious grunt – combined energy is up at 1917 (moderate to strong). Problem is, that morning session is tangled up with rain showers and a fresh offshore breeze, and the notes say it’s marginal. Not the cleanest start, but the afternoon cleans up a touch with some clouds and the same fresh offshore.
Now, Saturday July 11th is where we start to see the magic. Morning cracks open clear with a moderate offshore breeze, 5.2 ft from the SW and a period of 14 seconds. The energy is still healthy at 1157, and the report says it’s excellent for experienced surfers. This is a standout window – clean, solid, and that reef-and-point setup at Outside Corner will really love that long-period, straight-in SW swell. Crowds can pop up here sometimes, but on a day like this, it’s worth sharing the lineup.
Sunday July 12th drops off a fair bit – 3.0 ft and 2.6 ft – so we’re into smaller, weaker surf. Still offshore and clean, but it’s a bit of a lull. Monday July 13th throws a wild card at us: morning brings a tiny 1.6 ft swell but with a period of 23 seconds! That’s an incredibly long-period groundswell. Combined energy is 647 (weak to moderate). That kind of period will wrap beautifully around this point, but it might break a bit too straight for the main bowl. Worth a look if you’re keen on long, walling rides.
Tuesday July 14th fires back up in a big way. Morning and afternoon both offer 5.9 ft and 6.2 ft from the SSW with 17-18 second periods, and combined energy hits a massive 2138 and 2616. That’s strong wave energy. Clear skies, moderate offshore breeze – this is top-tier. This is the other standout of the whole outlook. Big, powerful, clean sets for advanced surfers only at that size.
Wednesday July 15th holds similar size (6.2 ft and 5.9 ft) but the morning session is flagged as marginal, likely a tide issue. Still fresh offshore wind, but not as crisp as Tuesday.
Thursday July 16th through to Saturday July 18th sees a slow drop from 4.9 ft down to 4.9 ft again, but the wind stays offshore – mostly fresh breeze, some moderate. The quality is mixed with rain showers and some marginal tags, but there are pockets of excellent conditions for experienced surfers on Thursday afternoon and Friday afternoon.
Sunday July 19th to Wednesday July 22nd: we’re in a bit of a trough. Swell hovers around 4.3 ft to 5.6 ft, but the weather turns rainy and the energy is moderate at best (885 – 1159). It’s still offshore, so it’s surfable, but nothing to get too worked up about.
Then we roll into the last few days – Thursday July 23rd to Saturday July 25th. Thursday is still rainy but with a slight uptick in period (15 seconds). Friday July 24th is a real gem: clear skies, a gentle offshore breeze, 4.6 ft SSW swell at 16 seconds, and combined energy of 1298. The report calls it excellent for experienced surfers. That’s a beautiful, clean day to finish the working week. Saturday July 25th morning holds similar quality with gentle offshore and 4.6 ft SW.
So, overall: the standout sessions are Saturday July 11th for that first crisp, moderate offshore day with solid SW swell, and Tuesday July 14th for the biggest, most powerful clean surf of the period. If you can only pick two, those are your windows. For the rest of the fortnight, it’s a steady mix of offshore winds and varying swell, with a few rainy days that still offer rideable, clean waves.
Water temp is about average for this time of year – no major anomaly to report.
Stay stoked, and paddle hard.
