Alright, Rusty here. Let’s talk about the only game in town for this stretch.

We’ve got a solid run of surf on the cards starting this weekend and carrying us well into the next week. The setup is the same one spot for the whole period: Outside Corner, a reef and point break that’s only for the advanced crew. It’s an exposed spot soaking up swell from the SW, and the water temp looks pretty standard for the time of year, nothing weird going on there.

The action kicks off on Saturday, July 11th. It’s not a mellow start. We’re looking at a 5ft SW groundswell (14-second period) with a strong energy level (1379) and a clean, moderate offshore wind from the ESE. This is excellent, but it’s also solid. Anything over 5ft gets a bit much for beginners, and the energy is pumping. Saturday afternoon stays just as good with 5ft and the same clean wind.

Sunday, July 12th backs off a little. The swell drops to around 3ft from the SW (13-second period), and the energy eases to 471. Still clean with that offshore ESE wind, but definitely a smaller, more manageable day for the experienced crew.

Monday, July 13th is a weird one. The height looks small – 2ft – but the period jumps to a massive 23 seconds. That’s a very long period groundswell, and the energy spikes to 647. At a reef/point like this, long-period swell can be incredible, but it also means very long lulls between sets. Expect excellent conditions in the morning, but be ready to wait for the waves.

Tuesday, July 14th is the standout. This is the pick of the whole run. We’ve got a 6ft SSW groundswell with a 17-second period and a huge energy reading of 2772. The offshore wind is clean and moderate. That’s a proper, powerful swell. It’s not for the faint-hearted – this is expert level stuff, but the quality will be top-tier.

Wednesday, July 15th and Thursday keep the swell in that 5ft to 7ft range, but the conditions start to show some rain showers and the wind picks up a bit. It’s still offshore, but the forecast flags some marginal tide or surf quality issues.

Heading into the second week, things get interesting. Monday, July 20th brings another spike – 8ft SSW swell with energy at 3260. That’s very strong, and again, it’s for experts only. Then Tuesday, July 21st looks promising with a 6ft SSW and a very light 10 km/h offshore breeze, keeping things clean.

The real wildcard shows up on Wednesday, July 22nd. The wind goes completely glassy from the SW, a dead calm. The swell is 4ft from the SSW with a 13-second period. Glassy conditions are a major positive. That morning would be absolutely worth waiting for.

Thursday, July 23rd also has a glassy start, but the swell is 5ft from the SE with a short 8-second period. Short period swell feels less powerful, but when it's glassy, you can still have fun.

After that, the swell starts to fade into smaller, cleaner waves through the end of the month, with gentle offshore winds and waist-high sets.

So, the clear, single standout is Tuesday, July 14th – that’s the big, clean, powerful day for anyone who can handle it. The glassy morning of Wednesday, July 22nd is the other special moment, offering rare, perfect conditions. Crowds are listed as “sometimes,” so you might share the lineup, but with a spot this heavy, it shouldn’t be too hectic.

Rusty.
