Hey, Rusty here, talkin’ about Kumcağaz (Kumcagiz). Lookin’ at the next two weeks, I gotta tell you straight: there ain’t a single rideable wave in the whole 16‑day stretch. From Saturday, 29 August, right through to “Saturday afternoon, 13 September”, it’s all flatsville. Every session in the charts says “poor surf conditions” and the combined energy sits at a goose‑egg – zero. No swell height, no period, nothin’.
Some mornings are dead glassy or clean with offshore breezes – like Sunday morning, 30 August, a few early hours in the first week, and a bunch of mornings in the second week – but with zero swell, it’s just a lake. Even the cross‑offshore days (Tuesday 1 September morning, Wednesday 2 September morning, Thursday 3 September morning, Friday 4 September morning, and then Sunday 6 September morning through Sunday 13 September morning) offer zero wave energy. The water temp is a touch warmer than average at about 77°, with an anomaly of 3°F – that’s notable – but it doesn’t matter when you’re staring at a flat ocean.
This sandbar break is a beginner spot that’s already inconsistent, so a long flat spell like this is kind of in character. But 16 days of zero? That’s tough. No standout session, no hint of a pulse even in the second week. Stay home, or just bring a paddleboard. That’s all I got. Rusty.
