Alright folks, Rusty here. Let’s be straight with you: the next couple of weeks look dead flat for Kumcağaz (Kumcagiz). There’s zero swell energy on the cards across the entire 16-day window. No waves, no nothing.
That’s a tough one. For a sandbar setup that’s already inconsistent, a run like this is more normal than you’d hope, but it doesn’t make it any less frustrating. The water temperature is sitting at 77°F with a positive anomaly of 2°F, so it’s about average for this time of year – warm, but not doing us any favours.
We do see some glassy mornings on the 23rd, 24th, 25th, and 30th of August, with the wind swinging light and even calm at times, but there’s simply no swell to work with. The combined energy is zero for every single record. Period.
So, here’s the deal: if you’re hanging out for a paddle, you’ll be waiting. The 16-day forecast is a full blank. It’s the kind of outlook that makes you look at the kite gear instead – with those consistent cross and cross-off breezes from the northeast, that might be the only way to get wet.
