Hey, Rusty here. Gotta give it to you straight: the surf forecast for this place is pretty barren.
For the full 16-day run, from Tuesday, August 11th, all the way through to Wednesday the 26th, there is absolutely no surf on offer. The combined energy is a flat zero (0) across the board. Not a single wave to get excited about. It’s a long, quiet stretch.
The only spot we’ve got is Kumcağız (Kumcagiz), a sandbar that’s known for being inconsistent. It faces NW for the best swell, but nothing is coming. There’ll be some clean, glassy moments on the mornings of August 19th, 22nd, and 24th when the wind is light or offshore, but without any swell, it’s just flat calm. The water’s sitting at 78°, which is a touch warmer than usual, so it’s good for a dip, not a surf.
No standouts here, folks. This is one of those periods where the ocean just shuts down. I wouldn’t bother waxing the board.
