Table - best surf conditions forecast for Fourth Beach over the next 16 days.

Alright, let me break down what’s on the table for the next 16 days. The first chance to surf is Thursday morning July 9th, but it’s not much. Swell is about 6 ft from the SW with a 14-second period, giving it good groundswell energy (1073 combined energy), and a 12 mph WNW cross-offshore wind keeps it clean. Still, the forecast says marginal because of tide, so for an advanced spot like Fourth Beach, it’s just a little warm-up. Not a standout.

Thursday afternoon stays similar: 5 ft at 13 seconds, wind goes light SSW at 3 mph, cross-onshore, leaving small ripples. Still marginal.

Friday and Saturday (10th and 11th) are no good. Swell builds to 7 ft, then 8 ft, but wind is cross-onshore and strong—15 to 19 mph from the SW, so it’s choppy. Poor conditions. Skip it.

Sunday morning July 12th: we’ve got a 10 ft SSW swell at 16 seconds (4956 combined energy). That’s powerful, long-period groundswell. Fourth Beach has clear skies and a 16 mph cross-shore W wind, creating some cross-chop. Still considered marginal, and at that size it’s too big for beginners. Not the one.

Here’s the standout: Monday morning July 13th. This is the pick of the run. Swell holds at 10 ft from the SSW with a very long 18-second period (6122 combined energy), and the wind is WNW at 12 mph, cross-offshore, making it clean. The forecast tags it as marginal, but with that long period and clean conditions, it’ll have good shape on a better break—though Fourth Beach is a beach, so the long period might make it a bit straight. Still, Monday morning is the best combo of size, energy, and clean wind in the whole outlook. Water temp is average for this time of year.

Monday afternoon sees the swell jump to 12 ft (6671 combined energy), wind light SW at 9 mph cross-onshore, and the forecast says it’s too big for the break. Experts only if they’re game, but the morning is the move.

Tuesday morning July 14th brings a NNE offshore wind at 6 mph, light breeze, with a 10 ft SSW swell (3903 combined energy). Excellent conditions for experienced surfers, but still big. Crowds are possible. This is your second-best day.

After Tuesday, the swell drops: Wednesday and Thursday (15th-16th) have 5 ft to 7 ft SSW swells with offshore winds—clean but less juice. Friday 17th morning: a howling 25 mph NNW offshore wind, clean but brutal for paddling. Friday afternoon settles to 6 ft SSW at 13 seconds with moderate offshore wind, decent.

Then we hit a rough patch: Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th, wind goes onshore and swell hits 13 ft and bigger—too huge for Fourth Beach. That big-swell run continues through Wednesday 22nd July, with 16 ft to 18 ft swells—massive energy (up to 16883). The forecast says it’s too big for the break. Not surfable. Thursday 23rd still big and onshore. Friday 24th sees a drop to 7 ft from the SSW with light cross-onshore wind, but it’s marginal.

Overall, the first week has a few clean windows with real size, but the long-period groundswell and beach break limit the quality. Monday morning July 13th is the true standout: 10 ft SSW groundswell at 18 seconds, clean cross-offshore wind, big energy. Tuesday morning July 14th is a close second with clean offshore wind. After that, there’s a long gap from the 18th onward with no real recommendations—just giant swell and onshore winds.
