Table - best surf conditions forecast for Dosim Beach over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, Rusty here. Let's be straight with you – this is a tough one. The entire 16-day window for Dosim Beach is looking pretty bleak. We've got a serious drought on our hands, so don't bother waxing up just yet.
Looking at the whole picture, the swell is tiny and weak, barely scraping together any energy. The combined energy of all swells directed here sits at a paltry 29 on the 13th, and it never really gets out of the weak zone. The swell direction is consistently out of the WNW, which isn't what this spot wants to see – it's begging for a WSW direction to get anything decent. The period is short, hanging around 6 to 8 seconds, meaning no real power behind it.
The first few days are a total write-off. From Monday the 13th through Thursday the 16th, the best we see is a "marginal" call on the Wednesday and Thursday mornings, with barely 3 ft to 3 ft of weak, short-period swell. The wind is a mess, too – mostly cross-onshore or onshore, creating chop.
There's a slight tease on Friday the 25th, where the swell bumps up to 3 ft with a period of 7 seconds, and the combined energy hits 62. The morning wind is a gentle cross-shore, which is a bit better. But even then, the surf conditions are still rated as "poor." It's just not enough to get excited about.
Then, on Sunday the 26th of July, we get a rare moment of calm. The morning is glassy with a light NNE breeze at 5 mph. That's a beautiful thing to see, but the swell is still only 2 ft with a weak 6-second period and a combined energy of just 24. It means you might get a few tiny, clean ankle-biters, but it's a long way from a proper session.
The rest of the window into the end of July is more of the same: tiny, weak swell and onshore or cross-onshore winds. This is a spot that's exposed and inconsistent, and when it's not working, it's a tough stretch. Honestly, for a beginner spot, the swell is so small it's safe, but there's hardly anything to ride. The water temperature is about average for the time of year, so no surprises there.
The bottom line is, there are no good surf options in this 16-day window. The surf is just flat. Don't force it – give it a rest and check back in a few days. Forecasts can change, but right now, this is a blank run.
Rusty.
