Updates in hr min s Forecast update imminent
G'day, Rusty here. Mate, I gotta be straight with you—this 16-day window is a tough one for Dosim Beach. There's no real surf to get excited about. The whole run is a write-off for a proper paddle. The waves are tiny, the wind is mostly onshore or cross-onshore, and the setup's just not cooperating. You're looking at a solid stretch of nothingness from now, all the way through to the end of the forecast period.
We kick off Saturday the 4th of July with a weak 3ft swell from the WNW, but it's a short-period 6 seconds windswell, and the combined energy is weak (60). The wind is a cross-onshore 12 mph from the WSW, so it's choppy and messy. That's a hard pass. Sunday the 5th isn't much better—the swell bumps up to 4ft, period's a touch longer at 7 seconds, and combined energy hits moderate (125), but that cross-onshore wind still wrecks it. Monday the 6th through to Friday the 10th shows a bit more energy (peaking at 144 on Tuesday morning), but the cross and cross-onshore winds, along with the poor surf comments, mean it's all junk.
From Saturday the 11th of July onwards, it drops right off. We're talking knee-high dribble at best—1ft to 2ft—with a tiny 5 to 6 second period and combined energy down in the pathetic single and low double digits. The water temp is 82°F, which is a touch warmer than normal for this time of year, but that's the only highlight. The best you'll see is a few glassy mornings (like Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th with 3 mph glass-off wind), but with waves less than 2ft, it's barely a ripple. For the whole 16-day run, there's nothing that qualifies as a standout. Honestly, with the consistent cross-onshore chop and the weak, short-period swell, this setup looks more interesting for a kite surfer than someone with a paddle board. The pattern's been consistently poor, so a blank run like this is pretty normal for the area. Hang in there, but don't get your hopes up.
