Well, I gotta be straight with you – this 16-day window for Crazy Tree is a real heartbreaker. We’re looking at a long, lean stretch, and honestly, there’s not a single standout session in the entire run. The first solid recommendation doesn’t come until the 9th, and even then, it’s just barely surfable. Before that, from Tuesday the 4th right through to Sunday the 9th, it’s a total write-off. We’re talking weak, messy swell, cross-shore winds, and a lot of days with zero score. That’s a solid 5-day gap of nothing.
The only flicker of life comes on Sunday the 9th. The morning is still a no-go, but by Sunday afternoon, the wind eases off to a gentle breeze from the ENE, swinging cross-offshore, and the conditions clean up. The swell is tiny, just 1ft, from the ESE with a short period of 9 seconds, and the combined energy is a weak 51. The wave comment says “surfable waves but very ordinary conditions,” scoring a 1 out of 10. It’s not a session to write home about, but it’s the only window where you might actually get a wave without it being a total battle.
