Surf Forecasts:
The Lowdown
Alright. Rusty here.
Look, I’m not gonna sugarcoat it. We’ve got a full 16-day window staring us in the face and there’s absolutely nothing to get excited about. The entire forecast is a flat, lifeless run. Not a single wave worth paddling for. The first recommendation doesn’t show up at all, and the whole period is a no-go.
Starting from Tuesday afternoon, July 28th, right through to the afternoon of Wednesday, August 12th, it’s the same story. Clear skies, but the swell is a total ghost. The combined energy of any swell directed here is 0, so the ocean is just a bathtub. There’s no surf. Period.
The only break we have info for is Ahtopol, a point break that’s inconsistent and rarely breaks. It needs an east swell to work, but there’s nothing from that direction. The water temp is sitting at 76°, which is about normal for this time of year.
The only thing worth noting is that on the morning of Tuesday, August 4th, we get a spell of glassy conditions with zero wind. But it doesn’t matter because there’s still no swell. It’s just a flat, pretty mirror. Normally, a blank run like this is more typical for the area, so it’s not a huge shock, but it’s still a bummer.
Hang in there. Forecasts can change, but right now, I’d find another hobby for a couple of weeks.
Rusty.
