Alright, Rusty here again, but this time in feet and miles for you.
Looking at the 16-day outlook, and I’ll be blunt: it’s a bummer. From Sunday 5 July all the way through to Sunday 19 July, there’s simply nothing. No swell, no energy – the combined energy reading is zip (0) for every single session. The ocean is totally flat. For Agios Dimitros, which needs a south swell to work, it’s a ghost town.
The water temp is about 77°, which feels a touch warmer than usual for this time of year. It’s like a warm bath if you’re just floating around.
Then, on Monday 20 July, we finally get a tiny pulse. The morning shows a southerly swell at about 0.7ft. It’s short-period windswell – only 4 seconds – so it’s weak. The combined energy is just 1. The wind is light cross-offshore from the northwest, so it’d be clean. For a beginner, you might find a little ankle-slosher to push you around. But don’t expect any power. The afternoon gets messy with a fresh cross-shore wind.
So the only thing even worth mentioning is that Monday 20 July morning at Agios Dimitros. It’s the only shot we get in the whole 16 days. It’s slim pickings, and for this area, long flat spells like this aren’t unusual. Things can change, so don’t throw the towel in completely, but for now, I’d keep the board in the car.
