Alright folks, Rusty here. Let’s have a straight look at what’s on the cards for Agios Dimitros over the next couple of weeks. I gotta be honest with you, this one’s a tough sit.
Right off the bat, the whole 16-day window is a blank. There is nothing – absolutely nothing – on offer for surf. The combined swell energy sits at a flatlining 0 across every single session from Friday the 28th of August all the way through to Saturday the 12th of September. That’s a solid 16-day gap with no rideable waves.
Now, don't go blaming the wind entirely because there are plenty of clean, offshore breezes in the mix – a lot of NNE, N, and NNW winds, especially through the mornings. On the 9th of September, Wednesday morning, we even get a glassy condition with near-calm winds from the NE. But without a shred of swell, those perfect conditions are wasted. The water temp is sitting at a balmy 81°F, which is much warmer than normal for this time of year, but that just means you’d be having a nice swim, not a surf.
The only break in the region is an exposed, south-facing beginner spot called Agios Dimitros, and it’s marked as *inconsistent* – which is an understatement right now. It rarely breaks anyway, and with zero energy coming from the south or anywhere else, there’s simply no wave to catch. It doesn’t tend to stay this poor for long around here, and forecasts can change, so don’t throw your boards in the bin just yet. But for this forecast block, the only action you’ll see is the wind rippling the surface.
