Alright, Rusty here. Let’s call it as it is for Agios Dimitros over the next 16 days. There’s nothing doing. The whole stretch is flat. We’re talking from the 27th of August all the way through to the 8th of September – zero waves, zero energy. The water is sitting at 81°F, which is much warmer than normal – about 4°F above average – so it’s a warm soak, but that’s it. The wind is often offshore or glassy, which would be perfect if there was any swell, but there isn’t.
On the 9th of September, we get a sliver of south swell – maybe 0.7ft at best, with a period of 4 seconds and a combined energy of just 1. That’s not surfable, it’s barely a bump. After that, it’s right back to flat for the rest of the forecast.
This break is exposed to the south, and the optimum direction is south, but there’s no power. It’s a better bet for kite surfing than paddle surfing if you’re feeling restless. For a proper surf, there’s nothing here. A blank run like this is a bit of a bummer, but it happens. Keep your board waxed and hope the next forecast brings something.
