Alright, let’s talk surf, or the lack of it. This is Rusty. I’m looking at Agios Dimitros over the next sixteen days, and folks, it’s a total flat spell. From right now all the way through to September 17th, there is nothing. Nada. The combined wave energy sits at zero (0) across the whole period.
That means no height, no period, no sets to scratch your head about. The wind is mostly offshore and the skies are clear, but without a lick of swell, a glassy morning is just a pretty morning. The water temp is nothing special for this time of year.
There’s no best day. No stand-out window. This is a dead run. Agios Dimitros is an inconsistent spot normally, so a stretch like this doesn’t come as a huge surprise. The break faces south, and it’s crying out for a south swell that the forecast just doesn’t have.
For beginners, there’s no danger of anything too big because there’s nothing at all. For anyone else, this is a time to find a different hobby for a couple weeks. A strong, steady offshore wind is present on many days, so if you’re into kiteboarding, the setup might look more appealing than a paddle-out that’s going nowhere. Forecasts can always change, but for now? It’s a hard pass.
