The Lowdown

Alright, let’s talk waves. The first few days are a total washout, nothing doing. We got a couple of days of flatness before things start to move. The first real sign of life is Thursday morning, small but clean. But don’t get too excited yet.

The first proper session looks like Saturday the 8th. We’re talking chest to head high, clean conditions, and the swell is starting to pump. That’s your first real window. The mornings are key, as the afternoons are getting chopped up.

Now, the one you circle on the calendar is Saturday the 15th. That morning is looking like the pick of the entire forecast. We’ve got a solid 4ft plus of clean SSW swell, light offshore winds, and plenty of energy behind it. This is a proper standout. The morning of Friday the 14th is also firing, but the 15th has that little bit extra size.

The week after that still has some fun waves, with clean mornings and rideable swell, but it’s a step down in size. The water is a bit warmer than usual, so it’s all good. The long-period swells will be breaking a bit more lined up at this reef, which is what we want. Just get out there in the mornings, and you’ll be smiling.

Rusty, out.

Short Range Forecast

Heavy rain (total 23mm), heaviest during Wed afternoon. Warm (max 32°C on Thu morning, min 25°C on Tue night). Wind will be generally light.

Days 5-7 Weather Summary

Moderate rain (total 11mm), heaviest on Sat night. Warm (max 32°C on Sun morning, min 25°C on Sat night). Wind will be generally light.
