- Good clean conditions on the Wairarapa reefs until a late SW breeze came up as forecast at about 3pm. Head-high+ sets at exposed spots. Sunny and warm after a chilly start to Tuesday.

- Clean conditions on Saturday with 5 surfers out at most. Generally waist to chest high but there were occasional bgger waves if you din't mind the wait. Slowly improving as the tide dropped. Sunny with a very light offshore tending light easterly cross shore by 2pm.
- /!\ PAS POUR DÉBUTANTS. Rame depuis plage New Cap en direction des statues. 3 peaks selon conditions (le plus exploitable face aux 3 palmiers). Si plus de 1.8m/8s surfer en droite seulement sinon reception rochers et remontée face à la barre difficile et moins d'1.5m de fond au niveau des mousses. Garder le l'énergie pour retour plage (courants).

“The reviews are correct. It's NOT such a great place for consistent surf, or a surf vacation. If you are a beginner and want to learn on the whitewash and like beer pong and not sleeping, then yes! This is the place for you! It's really noisy.
I imagine it might have been nice when some of the earlier reviews were written, probably in the high season. But if you want to SURF, then El Salvador is so close and 1000 times better.
Oh and girls beware, keep your eyes on your drinks at ALL times.”
