The Box Surf Guide

The Box in Valencia is a fairly exposed beach and reef break that does not work very often. Summer in particular tends to be flat. The best wind direction is from the west southwest. Waves more likely to be from local windswells than distant groundswells and the ideal wave direction is from the east northeast. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights and there are also left and right hand reef breaks on offer. Good surf at all stages of the tide. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Take care of urchins and obstacles.
