The Box in Valencia is a quite exposed beach and reef break that only works once in a while. Summer in particular tends to be flat. The best wind direction is from the west southwest. Waves more likely to be from local windswells than distant groundswells and the optimum wave angle is from the east northeast. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves and in addition there are both left and right reef breaks. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Sometimes crowded. Beware of urchins and obstacles.
