Car-rille surf break:

“Hopelessly crowded with logs 'n kooks whenever there's a wave ankle high or bigger. Extremely fickle, extremely over-rated. Heaps of better spots north of here.”

Cobra Reef - Cemento surf break:

“Ahh the Cobra! Surfed it quite a few times. Anything over 6' and it starts getting hairy. Philippines spots have a habit of sending thru bomb sets every half hour or so, and when it's 5'-6' here an 8'-10' bomb set is truly frightening! The cobra will draw the water off the reef for about 50m, including you, straight into that cobra head. Had it happen, sucked into the impact zone of a 10' face, ferociously pounded and bounced along the reef. One of the most severe poundings ever. Seeing that thing coming, for the first time in a long life of surfing, I truly feared for my life. Have surfed 10'+ points on the Gold Coast in Australia and they are a piece of cake compared to this thing. Seen gnarly injuries, broken boards and people in tears here. Even at head high guys get smashed. Local guy told me it never used to be so gnarly, so slabby, and almost unsurfable like it is now. When the wave energy is over 300, better to head to the northern reefs and points or beach breaks. Save your body and your board some damage. When it's up to head high it's super fun, but with only 1 take off spot it doesn't take much for it to get crowded. The bowl is a bit more forgiving, though plenty of injuries there too. Great novelty wave for sure, but...there are better spots all the way up towards Casiguran. You just have to find them ;)”

Grabbers surf break:

“Overall a pretty good break I've had good times with my mates here surfing nice chill rides. Although its very flat in summer even if the swell is 2 metres so best off going to trigg in summer.”
