Georgia Surf Forecast map for predicting the best wave and wind conditions across the region. For surfers, the map shows the most powerful swell tracking across near-shore open water and not the peak waves experienced by boats out at sea. Move your mouse over the ocean swell symbols or the surf breaks on the coastline to see a more detailed surf forecast including wave period and wind conditions. The forecast updates every 6 hours and most live weather reports update every hour. You can animate the Georgia Surf map or show live wind and wave conditions as reported from wavebuoys and local weather stations. Surf breaks shown along the Georgia coastline are also listed below.

Georgia Surf Breaks

Georgia isn't home to a whole array of surf, although is known for friendly vibes, down to lack of surf the coastline has to offer. The continental shelf is broad down this part, so surf rarely makes it to shore with a punch. On big swells though waves are to be had, if you have time and the resources to go explore then there are plenty of places to look. With warm waters and plenty of facilities there are many worse places to head for a surf trip. An inconsistent area in general to surf.
