Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the east. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. Best around high tide when the tide is rising. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Beware of rips.submerged objects, sharks and jellyfish.

“5th street used to work but due to the beach building up it no longer works on a regular basis. It’s worth riding by for a look though. It does on rare occasions produce some waves. If everything is blown out with a big northeaster it can still shine.”
