Trabeg or Kinard in Kerry is an exposed beach break that has fairly consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Ideal winds are from the north northeast with some shelter here from north winds. Surfable in an onshore breeze Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest. The beach break provides left and right handers and there is left hand reef break too. Best around low tide when the tide is rising. The location means that it never gets crowded. Take care of rocks in the line up.
