Salisbury Beach in Massachusetts is an exposed beach break that has reasonably consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. The best wind direction is from the west southwest. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the northeast. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. Best around mid tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up.

“Go to the farthest beach entrance by the river wall. If it's firing at The Wall (NH), it can barrel here (10/1/2019). The sandbars change frequently here but if you pay attention to them you can definitely score. Currents are very strong at this location so be aware. I had the entire wave to myself and the beach is very secluded in the off season. Free parking and the facilities/showers were still operational beginning of October. You can reserve a camp site here as well if that's your thing.”
