Rat Shit in LA County is a reasonably exposed reef break that does not work very often. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Ideal winds are from the southeast. Clean groundswells prevail and the best swell direction is from the northwest. Reef breaks provide lefts and rights. Best around low tide when the tide is rising. Sometimes crowded. Beware of rocks and locals.
