Porthcawl Point in The Vale of Glamorgan is a fairly exposed beach and point break that has reasonably consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. The best wind direction is from the northeast. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the best swell direction is from the southwest. Best around high tide. Likely to be crowded if working. Hazards include rocks / rips.
