“First surfed it Hurricane Leo, 1975. Crowded and drop-ins from Peter Pistachio crew and Dave Levinhead; waited hr and got a wide-swinging 10 feet eastern pk that snuck by; barelled all the way past jetty. It's heavy because of terrible manners of surfers there and rip. Winter fewer and better crowd; Can imagine it can hold bigger than 10 feet, but short shelf stops it. Better to sneak around corner to south breaks of Rincon and others.Forget the longboard and SUP crap!”
