Last Chance in Mahia is an exposed reef and point break that has quite reliable surf and can work at any time of the year. Works best in offshore winds from the west. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the optimum swell angle is from the northeast.Surfers ride left hand point. Best around mid tide. A fairly popluar wave that can sometimes get crowded Rocks are a hazard.
