Falcarragh Beach Surf Guide

Falcarragh Beach in Donegal is an exposed beach break that has inconsistent surf with no particular seasonal pattern. The best wind direction is from the south and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Does not handle onshore winds very well Groundswells and windswells are equally likely and the ideal swell direction is from the north. The beach break provides left and right handers. Best around high tide. Crowds are never a problem here. Be wary of rips - they make surfing here dangerous.
