Crab Island Surf Guide

Crab Island in County Clare is an exposed reef break that has fairly consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds blow from the east. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the ideal swell angle is from the west. There is no beach break and there is a right hand reef break as well.. When the surf is up, crowds are likely Beware of rocks and rips.
