“Centerville doesn't have any good waves just gnarly currents and gnarly beach break, don't go in the water unless you are planning on drowning or being shark bait,”

“Dangerous! Undertow, cross currents, & strong rip-currents; a sand bar that usually maintains a close proximity to shore making wicked shore breaks; and close out waves challenge the stronger paddlers and well practised duck divers or trounce the inexperienced into a more respectful attitude. 3/4/5 wetsuit with hood and booties required most of the year, spring suits w/ no hood or booties on the warmest days of late summer.
That said, there are a couple times per year (if that) when it sets up to be primo! One of my best surfing experiences was a Centerville dawn patrol day with a paddle out almost bath tub flat, sunshine with unusual warm morning very light breeze, spring suit almost not needed, but still worn, and set after set of perfect 8 -12' never-ending tubes well off shore, and only 4 other surfers in the water.”
