Carrowmore Surf Guide

Carrowmore in Mayo and Achill Island is a sheltered beach break that has unreliable waves. Summer in particular tends to be flat. Offshore winds blow from the south with some shelter here from southwest winds. Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the optimum swell angle is from the west. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. Sometimes crowded.
