Bethells Beach (Oneills) in West Coast Auckland is an exposed beach and reef break that is often working and works all around the year. The best wind direction is from the east. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the ideal swell angle is from the southwest. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights and there is right hand reef break too.. Best around mid tide. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Beware of rips, locals and sharks.
