Mussel Rock Surf Guide

Mussel Rock in West Coast Auckland is an exposed beach break that has pretty consitent surf. Spring and Summer provide the best conditions. Works best in offshore winds from the east with some shelter here from east winds. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the best swell direction is from the southwest. Waves at the beach are mainly rights. Best around low tide when the tide is rising. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Beware of rips, rocks and sharks.
