Ballyheigue in Kerry is an exposed beach and reef break that has dependable surf and can work at any time of the year. Ideal winds are from the east with some shelter here from north winds. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the west. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves together with both left and right hand reef breaks offshore. Sometimes crowded. Take care of rocks in the line up.
